I wish you well and hope the pain passes quickly for you TF.  I'm trying to avoid knee surgery, my orthopedic surgeon is willing to try injecting a jell type substance and a brace. It may give me more time before the inevitable. I've been hard on the equipment over the years and joints are wearing out. I just underwent several surgery's on my back and the pain is finally at a tolerable level. I've been on heavy doses of morphine and oxycodone for the last four years so thats another issue I have to deal with.  I still have to take care to not lift heavy things which means no Duesenburg guitar for Christmas.

Like Amy said,  please do take pictures, I always enjoyed renovating and while I can't do it anymore it's still fun to see what others do. I know my wife would just love to see what you do with an old church hall.

I enjoyed that Russell. You dudes are sounding good.  As usual one recording leads to another and another while the time slips away, thats good stuff guys.

I don't practice as much as I would have liked to, age and injuries have kept me down for way to long, but it's getting better. The desire is strong so it keeps me going forward, with the good days outnumbering the bad days.

It's always hard when we lose a furry friend, sorry for your loss.

Now that is funny!  but I still have two more chords to learn

I just can't stuff my much loved guitars in a "bag", I've seen the damage done and it aint pretty,  Hardshell cases are the better and safer way to store and transport any guitar. Most well stocked guitar/music stores will carry cases.

Well done arkady. It struck home for me as I'm a flower gardener and I often use those same words to describe my own life.

Money does'nt mean a thing unless you've got none.   Gotta agree with Zurf, rule  #1 applies.

Welcome to Chordie, Eva is a favorite of mine. Eva's version of Song bird is beautiful.  If you go to the artists section you will find a list of some of her songs.

Good stuff TIG, long ago  I lived  in a small town,  where there was  injustice, hatred, brutality and racial tension,  it seems like nothings changed and I'm having another piece of that pie all over again. I am so sad that people have not  changed or learned anything from those times.

I've got a deering 5 string banjo which sits it the corner most of the time, a 6 string just might see more playing time.  Gonna have to tell the wife I found one laying along the road and I just had to bring it home.

Very peaceful, in fact so peaceful I had to listen to it twice as I had my eyes closed the first time through.

Hello onenumber, I'd have to say it's the same old story of practice, practice and more practice. I think you will find it easier as time goes by, I mostly play my 6 string but it's always a bit of a treat to let those 12 strings ring out now and again. There are those who say tune the 12er down a step or two but I like to keep both guitars in standard tuning.

Fantastic! I've always enjoyed Queens music.  I think Tuesday's Flying Fingers is going to be fun.
