LOL one time on a hunting trip I accidentally shot myself in the foot. Pretty embarrassing. Went out the next year and got me a deer though. Gotta love that venison chilli.

When you register for Chordie.com, it should make you type in the letters and numbers you see. That makes sure humans are registering and not spam bots

Greenday and Nirvana both use a lot of simple power chord songs

By the way, this is kind of an apples and oranges argument

Chrispontes it's... "It's better to burn out, than to fade away", if you're referring to the suicide note.

"Didn't have the guts to wear leather and shades"... thank god, glam rock needed to die.

And as for the unintelligible lyrics, a lot of times Kurt chose words based on melody, not meaning.

So for me, Cobain definitely.... his songs are really deep, but it's a generation thing.

Yeah a lot of young people have f___ buddies as we like to call them. I should know as a college kid, even though I don't cause I've been in a very happy relationship for some time. Old Doll people are becoming much more, promiscuous (sp?). It's kind of like the late 60s and early 70s, but with shitty music

Oh and go to your nearest guitar store and ask about metronomes and how they work, they'll do the foot tapping for you

There's a lot of different strumming patterns, but many that are extremely common for beginner songs, the main probably being down down up up down... and most beginner songs change chords after the strumming pattern is completed, then you repeat it on the new chord.

Read this article, it helped me understand a lot more.

-this should help with many different strumming patterns, including one for wonderful tonight... just make sure you listen to the demos to get the timing

You can get a strap button put on your guitar on the back of the neck if you want but you can always take a shoelace, tie it through the hole at the end of the strap, and tie it right above the nut under the strings.

Good luck with your playing, ask questions, take advice.... I've gotta get another beer

Start with a song that used barre chords closer to the soundhole, they'll be easier while you're learning

If you are having a hard time with tabs make sure to check youtube for the lessons, just remember a lot of people improvise on or transcribe those songs

Love the "why fret, just let it slide" idea... but I'd rather it say chordie.com than just chordie

p stands for pull off, h for hammer-on, / and \ normally represent slides.. so 3p0 would be play the note in the 3rd fret then perform a pull off... good luck

Also it seems to me it takes longer for strings to become broken in the lighter the gauge is

Probably just not broken in, strings tend to make a twangy sound until they're broken in.

What I normally do is just print the song out the draw the chord diagrams on, works for me
