Thank you Will,
I am pleased you like my humble effort and I will be pleased to perform at your wedding (at least the travelling expences will not be as bad as going to Badeye's or Rhiannon's )
Roger
if you actually do that i will give you sooooo much money
Pinball Wizard by The Who
(The acoustic guitar part has lots of barre chords)
Actually, forget I said that, it's not simple at all
that's such a great song, very well thought through!
i can't believe you said you're not an expert! keep these coming, you're very skilled.
and i'm afraid i'm going to have to force you to play this at my wedding it's THAT good lol
I have to say, they are some of the best non-Noel Gallagher lyrics I've ever read. They're funny and clever, too! I love it!
tips?
always keep an empty bottle in the van
i've seen quite a lot of great songs on chordie, and this is no exception.
i really like the lyrics, i'm sure the chords will fit perfectly
well done!
thanks fer taking the time to reply, i appreciate it A LOT.
i'm sure your ideas will help, and and literally 5 minutes after reading this i had a couple of ideas.
oh and bonedaddy, it's a she, incase you were wondering.
thanks again, and i'll do my best
first of all, i'll just point out i didn't make this thread selfishly, anyone who's having difficulty songwriting will hopefully find peoples advice on writing songs (either lyrics or music) very useful.
i'm trying to write a love song for someone at the moment, and my first question is:
How do you go about getting started when you write the lyrics?
I really love it!
I can't believe I haven't seen 1 bad song on chordie yet.
It's very simple, which is something I can never do well. ie. if I write a song, I always try to make it really hard xD I'm a nutter like that.
The lyrics are quite easy to understand as well, which is usually good
good job
On acoustic:
Layla [Unplugged]- Eric Clapton
On Classical:
My Grade 4 pieces (I can't remember what they're called which shows how much I've been practicing)
Electric:
Bulls On Parade- Rage Against The Machine
Half The World Away- Oasis
Supersonic- Oasis
Aqcuiesce- Oasis
Very busy, as you can see
Pinball Wizard by The Who
(The acoustic guitar part has lots of barre chords)
yeah, things are going great, thanks i'm no longer the annoying user i used to be
i still have a tendency to go off topic, as you can see...

"Chordie-ac Arrest"
That's so funny, I love it.
I could make the first Chordie appreciation band!
Oh yeah.Bulls on parade is awesome to play.

the Basketball association of Iran WAS FUNNY.
to be honest, when I said "nobody else likes them", I didn't mean "nobody", i just the one person i am madly in love with didn't like it... *embarrased*

I've been clicking "random article" on Wikipedia to help me choose a band name.
The best so far are:
Basketball Assosciation of Iran

Castle Rock
But nobody else likes them
It's a really beautiful song, you are very talented
Keep it up, and I'm sorry for you loss also
My favourite song to bash out on electric is now Bulls On Parade by Rage Against The Machine.
I had great fun playing about with this earlier, I went absolutely mad with it, you should be upset you didn't see it, as it would've been quite amusing. Maybe I should show you all videos of me going crazy with a crappy guitar.
Para,
I have heard of his name, probably with his link to floyd. But it is only the name I am familiar with , so I clicked that link, and I tihnk ye have a pretty cool unc.
