Hey Doc,
I'm probably wrong about this but I will speculate on why I think this happens. Before an album is released, the artists promotional staff release singles to the radiostations. The ratings that the singles produce will dictate what will be on a certain album. It's all about money. If the audience goes for a certain typeof music it will sell.
Just like books, you will not find many copies of Ilf and Petrovs '' Les Douze Chaises '' in bookstores in the middle of Canada or the States. The comic irony of the story would be lost on most people. Therefore from a buisness sense it would be illogical to produce and supply a market that has no need for such a product. Music is the same.
Just my two cents worth.

By the powers accorded to me in another life I christen you '' Sir loin-of-beef ''
Hi Will,
You can find a pic of your guitar, fav Icon, pets, something that has deep meaning to you.
I tend to change mine every now and then so I guess it would depend on your mood at the time.
You can also google avitars by subject. It could lead you to new ideas.
Good luck!
Michel
Not to far
À l'ecole, je pense.
Toipic for a new thread, How many languages do you speak/write?
Yes! Very good, Where did you learn your french?
Hey guitardocphil,
I'm sure you know the song Le Blues du Buisnessman from the rock opera Starmania. The Moral is about the buisnessman that has it all yet is unhappy because he never did what he wanted in life. His real passion was to be an artist. The origial singer was Claude Dubois then in the remake of the opera it was sung by Bruno Pelltier. I am posting a cover by Laura Fabian since she can really sing it.... man, can this woman sing... and she's not so hard on the eyes either. lol
Sorry to all the chordians that don't understand french but I'm sure most of you can appriciate the music.

Quel belle chanson, et tellement de puisance de la part de Laura.
Bonne journée mon petit cousin de la Belgique.

That's just the type of reply I was expecting from you. Thank you for confirming my opinion. By the way I have been told worse by better people.

Many of us go off on a tangent in different threads, many of us do it. Never have the moderators let things go too far. Especially those who have been here for quite a while. We agree that this is not a chat room. I would like to point out that we are in CHORDIE'S CHAT CORNER. This section was added just for this reason. Perhaps this thread should have been added to the Guitars and accessories section. Appart from the fantastic job the god's of chordie are doing the success of this site and forum are due to the friendly and laid back approch that most people have here.
I would like to point out that since the arrival of Paranormalguitar I have found the hostilities on the forum have blossomed............ just my point of view.
Michel
I also play the Sax but have neglected it for quite a few years. Perhaps one day I will take it up again. I guess the guitar has always been my real passion.
Hendrix was a guitar god, not only could he play but it came through him not the guitar. His guitar was a means to an end!
There is a reason Stevie Ray Vagn was obsessed with Hendrix.
Quotes like that just show how narrow minded people can be.
On another note I believe that paranormalguitar just likes to provoke people. He has shown us who he is, it's up to us to believe him. I believe that he is a smart kid who should learn to express himself in a more diplomatic way. We have all been young and brash, with time he will grow up.

oops How can I forget Dylans -John Brown and Blowing in the Wind
about half an hour, we bought in a much more rural area.....ahh peace and quiet!

The first was the junior high musical (i played a 150 year old hillbilly, a fun part, however my voice broke character.) and a couple classroom performances. (when everyone else writes poems to present, I write songs) I'm not usually nervous around crowds, but whenever I break out the guitar I start shaking, I'm not sure if it's the thrill or just me being nervous, probably a bit of both. anyway, nice topic.
cheers

Keep it up and it will get easier!
Great find ..... I bet it would have some great stories to tell! I'm always going into old pawn shops looking for that lost jewel. Haven't found it yet.
Ya It's already started, I told my son that next year he can go to all the farms and work the crops. He will make good money and if he works hard they will call him for each harvest. He's 12 now and soon he will want weels also. Good expierence learning that it takes hard work to get what you want!
Have a great one ya old salt
Mike
My first car was a green Chevy Malibu Classic. I beat the $H** out of it! But it did get us around. Thats all that mattered, had great times in it. Sold it for 150$ to a scrap yard after a few years.
She's 14 she lost her sense of haha about a year ago. When she gets her permit I think I'll by her an old AMC Gremlin and paint it lime green. Tell her she can use it all she wants..... she'll probably stay home! LOL
badeye wrote:Thats great to hear Mike. Hope you like your new digs. I bet you and your family will have good memories of the old homestead. Got to like that your hunt is over as it can be a pain to look for houses sometimes. No grumpies here but some people just don't like the heat eh. Almost bought a second hand Cort guitar over the weekend but the better half talked me out of it as she said your b-day is in october.
hmmmmm. Probably get socks..lol.
take care...Brad.
Yes it was fast, One of my friends is a realestate broker and she really knew what we wanted. After just two days we had already put an offer on a house. The family is happy but our oldest daughter is a little upset as we are moving to quite a rural area. She just wants to know where the nearest mall is. LOL I told her the goods come in once a year by boat and that she has to take what they have. That didn't go over too well.....

patrickjacques wrote:Hey There Michel, I was very impressed with that version of Classical Gas. WOW. My question is can someting like that be preformed (fingerpicked) without amplification. My expierience with my attemps at fingerpcking is that it does not come out that loud. Also Claude DeBussy has music lessons. Have you any knowledge if they are any good for more advanced lessons
I haven't met their teachers yet so I can't tell about their advanced classes. I will get around to seeing them. My nephew is taking biginners lessons there and he is progressing quite well. I have heard good and bad about them but people are quite subjective about these things so I will make up my mind after speaking to them more. Their sales manager that let you try his Gibson can really play but does not teach. He admits that he is really not a teacher but does praise the ones that do. I guess I'll just have to sign up and see for myself.

Canada Day celebration in my home town. I was 14 and my knees were knocking. We flew through a set with lots of Stones as our lead singer thought he was Mick Jagger. I agree it put us right in with the girls! I still have my original notes for the set, Brown Sugar, Satisfaction, Behind Blue Eyes, My Generation, Tush, Angie,...... ah it does bring back memories!
Hey Brad,
How's it going? Long time no talk. Weather here is the same. Hot Humid and making everyone grumpy. I have my move on the brain as we finished negociating and officially bought a new home. Lots to do as we take pocession early September. I will be able to build that soundproof room as I have lots of room to spare.
I too would like to fingerpick better. I can hold my own but I want to progress to a more advanced style. I have decided to go to a music school just for this alone. As a dad with a family and full time work I have decided to take the time for myself. Even just a half hour a week to get the right technique will help. Also setting goals. Here's where I would like to get. The bar is set high but I will be happy with just 50% of how Tommy Emmanuel plays.
