How many guitars have other chordians got? I started off with a second hand e-ros dakota which was bought for me, but after learning from chordie forum, i realized that it was quite a hard guitar to play, the way it was set up. So...i didn't have much money,so i bought myself a cheap guitar called a woodstock which was much easier to play and that i could practice barre chords and the more difficult chords but because it's a cheap guitar it doesn't sound that great. So...now im looking for one a third time, one that sounds good is easy to play but a better quality. Bearing in mind i only play to myself, am i going too far wanting a 3rd guitar and if you think i am not, have you any suggestions?

I listened to the songs when i came home from work last night ( doing day shifts now as well as nights ). I had liked Old Doll's song so much when i had heard it before i went to work that it was going round in my head when i was on duty so felt i had to listen to it again when i got home.
I am surprised that James, badeye, and all the other song writers haven't put their songs on there, would love to hear them.

Just discovered friends of chordie, didn't know it existed until today, but i couldn't seem to get all of the songs to play for some reason. However i did manage to listen to Old Doll's song and it was beautiful, and what a lovely voice. You are so talented Old Doll, i admire you.
I wish i could have listened to the others on there. Any how, you have gained a fan!       Hopeful. ( Christine. )

When i try to play this song i start off in 4/4 time and it seems right, but when i go into the chorus it seems like it 3/4 time! Please don't laugh, surely this can't be right, i mean its got to be one or the other surely!! Please advise, anyone who plays this and knows how it should be played.I've been trying for ages to sus this one out.

Hi Roger,
hope your move went ok. Sorry to keep on at this one but just one last question! I just wondered what picking pattern you do when you pick this tune. I have been learning a couple of patterns but really basic ones and would like to try a different one. Just wondered what one you did for this tune.

I had no intention of using the forum at first either, i was using chordie to get guitar chords for quite a while before i actually registered. You some how get quite drawn to it and then i realised that there was a lot of opportunity for advice from experienced guitarists, who can teach us rookies a thing or two.
