It is very strange how it pans out. I have dozens of songs on YouTube which usually get less than 100 hits unless it is one of my students and they tend to get several hundred. I do have four exceptions though, all covers except the last one:

14 K The Ballad Of Springhill (an old Peter, Paul and Mary song)
4.2 K Unchained Melody (an old Righteous Brothers song)
1.6 K Let It Be Me (an old Everly Brothers song)
1.2 K What A Friend We Have In Kitty (an original James McCormick song first seen on Chordie)

Hi Jim,

They should automatically be sorted alphabetically. Try clearing your cookies as that can solve a number of issues and report back with the results when you have done so.

Interesting. Interesting to see the newly invented styles of music emerging and gaining popularity however I had never heard of 'Chanson' music and had to Google it to find out what it was. smile

If my memory serves me correct, Jeff (Topdown) had one when I was at Chordiestock, but it was a while ago and I may be mistaken. If he does not respond here drop him a line, but I agree with the others, you need to play one and get your own feelings for one.

This is usually a 'cookie' problem so try clearing your cookies and hopefully you should be OK. Please report back with the results.

Just an update:

I have been in contact with Per this morning and this issue is turning out to be a little more problematical than first thought. It is being investigated and hopefully there will be a fix soon.

I have just checked and I have the same problem as Jaybird. I will drop a line to Per, the site owner, and see what he can do to fix it.
Please bear with us Jaybird, it may take a day or two to sort out,

So sorry Zurf, it is so hard when we lose someone we bond with. Remember the good times, the fun and the laughs you had together, I am sure that is what he would want you to do. Condolences to you and his family.

We had a gig on Thursday 13th to help the local Salvation Army who do a lot of good for the poor and needy. We take nothing ourselves and we raised €1,900.00 on the night. The link is to an article in a local paper:

On a forum such as this we have contact and feel that we know people but in reality we never know what they are going through in real life. This is such a tragedy; I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through now but I am pleased to read that family and friends are giving support. Thoughts and prayers for you.

Per contacted me earlier and said it was fixed but I was still having problems with the letters I stated earlier. It would be interesting to know if 'trickstar' and 'KurtSiegel' are still having the same difficulty.

Strange, I just tried and found I could not see Songs starting with 'C', 'I', 'R' and 'S' neither could I see Artistes starting with 'B'. I have reported it to Per (the site owner) and will report back as soon as I know something.

Hi there, welcome to the forum. I have moved your post from Chat as this is an About Chordie matter.

On the right hand side of the page you will see the 'SONGBOOK' box (as shown in screen shot below). You click on the down arrow to change to a different Songbook, then click on 'ADD' in the blue box:

There is a maximum of 100 songs in a Songbook, if you have reached this the you have to start another one. I hope that helps.

Clearing cookies regularly and installing an ad-blocker programme should do the trick.

Roger

P.S. I have removed the two other duplicate posts.

I will have to check with the site master but, as the songs are not hosted on Chordie, it may be that comments cannot be made there by new Members also. Please try again after you have made a few more normal forum posts and report back with your results.

I was told by a luthier that both furniture and car polish are an absolute 'no-no' for a guitar. They build up a coating and ruin the resonance of the instrument. The best way is to wipe down well with something we all have in our bathroom, a wet wipe, to remove dirt and marks and then finish off with a clean lint free cloth.
