I love the sound and feel of tubes pushed hard. Solid state always leaves me feeling sad and empty inside.

Two fun factoids:
1. Just last week I decided to bring my guitar on all road trips over 4 days,
2. I am already drunk.

HAHAAAAA

Dude you should not post your email in a forum. you're going to get the heck spammed out of you.

I have always bought heavy vinyl ones, but I just use kinko's.

Chordie is a search engine so the code for this is on another site, not on Chordie. That said, it appears that the problem is the font size. I would encourage you to save this to a landscape-oriented word document, then change the font size on the lower 1/2 to match the top 1/2...maybe 9-10 point should do it.

Yeah I kinda think that thing is amazing.

For me, anything with BC Rich on it is vile.

No problem at all man. The problem with the internet is that information is frequently not consistent and not proofread a lot. To take note names out of it, here's a quick cheat sheet:

Minor pentatonic: 1 b3 4 5 b7
Blues scale: 1 b3 4 b5 5 b7
Major pentatonic: 1 2 3 5 6

I usually play a combo: 1 2 b3 3 4 b5 5 6 b7

Marty's is an e blues scale.

All guitar is minor pentatonic.

Chord book is g blues.

Are you sure the notes are different or is it the fingering? A"blues scale" typically refers to a minor pentatonic scale with the addition of a b5.  Perhaps if you tell us what you are looking to accomplish we can help you?

you might include a youtube link to the song. there are several good transcribers here who can probably tell you the chords just by hearing 'em.

Well I might just have to pick me up one of those. Can I have the link again please?

What I meant is that it is properly written as a Bb, not an A# even though G is a sharp key.

It's actually a Bb in this case because you're playing the chord of G's flatted third.

Yes it does. F# is the natural 7th scale degree of G major. It is also the 3rd chord degree of D, which is G's 5 chord. So lots of times you'll see a song in G that looks like this:

G    D/F#    Em

or something like that.

In this case though the f# isn't a chord. Just play the F# note and slide up to G. This song has more of a mixolydian feel which is why that F natural works in the intro.

Finally, they aren't "starting the song" in Bb. The song is in G. They are just starting it on a Bb chord. Big difference. smile

It's a blues scale thing. Here's the classical music theory version of the explanation:

I sure hope you put this to music. I'm hearing a "Cover of the Rolling Stone" sort of groove. Great lyrics.
