We'll crank this one as well. While we both wait, check out my latest post in Chordie Chat.
Q: Is the door locked?
A: Yep
Q: From the outside?
A: Yep
Q: Are we dead?
A: Yep
If you'll look closely at the guy on the right, his mouth is already forming that "Oh"......
Bill
Ah! Sorry, Graham. Didn't mean to rush ya'.
Bil
HOLY COW!!!!! VERY nice!
That's a cool one do go out on, Grah (Especially at Hallowe'en), so this would go out over the air, right?
Could you provide a link to the GBIII version of "Rooster" for us, please? I searched for it, but can't bring it up.
Thanks!!!
Bill
........ from your bygone days? Mine is under the Song Requests section, but I don't want to double-post, so could that one maybe be moved over by one of our mods, please?
Thanks
Bill
I hope it's okay that I add one of my favorites: Junior Wells and "Messin' With The Kid". And yep, that's Bill Wyman of The Stones on bass and the great Buddy Guy on blues lead.

Thanks

A funny, true story about this one: In one of my bands from the 60's, we had learned this one, but the lead singer had a problem with "and the hounds begin to howl".
He would sing "The hounds begin to HOUND".
He never could get it right, so his girlfriend took a piece of posterboard and wrote HOWL on it in big fat letters.
The next gig came up, we launched into "Rooster" and when we got to the part where he was supposed to sing ""HOWL", she held that big sign up right at that point, but even that didn't help.
The audience saw the sign, thought it was meant for them and began howling like a bunch of romantic cats and dogs.
So whenever we played that gig, that sign became a part of our show -- as did the howling.
But as for our lead singer ----- no, he was still singing "hounds begin to HOUND".
Bill
Well, I'm not sure I understand that about the top/bottom reference, but Duane only ever used the bassy strings of his guitar to play anything. He let stuff like saxes. etc. take the bridges.
Thanks for listenin' "Bud".
Bill (or as they call me down here in "Jawja" ------ Beee-yull --- a two syllable name.)
Again, my apologies, KevinRK. Sometimes you folks in Europe and elsewhere can't play YouTube stuff due to copyright infringements. Sorry about this and I hope it will soon change.
Bill
Okay, I just rolled her in here and she actually SAW (rather than just heard) your song, Graham, and she once again remarked how much you favor Kris Kristofferson ("okay, Bill....from a distance") and that you're a handsome guy, nice smile DANG WOMAN!!!! WHAT AM I??? CHOPPED LIVER?????...:) .. and that's all I listened to on the way back to her bedroom. .
Thanks again, my friend for al you do for all of us here.
Bill
WHAT???!!!! You actually got your resonator, sat down and played that TODAY???!!!!!
Comment left on the Tube, but we both also wanted to send you our heartfelt thanks for doing this for Dondra. You brought a huge smile forth on her pretty face, Gray One.
We're still listening to it from YT down here in Georgia. Expect the cops any minute!
THANKS AGAIN, GRAHAM!!!!! (sorry for the caps, but we're excited!!!!!)
Ah. I see the problem: Our English friends can't get certain YouTube clips sometimes. I apologize keepitreal. Maybe that will change one day soon. "A World-Wide Nation, Under Music."
Loved that poem, beestie. It pictures exactly what a lot of guys go through and I like the words, but now it's time for you to git back on that hoss, find yourself another cowgirl and ride off into the sunset with her. If you don't feel like it, then MAKE yourself get out. Even if it's just getting out into the sunshine for a while, or go grocery shopping. to the laundry-mat........ whatever. Just don't dwell on it so much it starts to become your way of life.
Some tough "brotherly love" from
Bill
Fly Rod fishing, huh? Man, I don't have the patience for that, sorry guys. My brother took me once and I sat there squirming while he got one of those "fly lures" like y'all use ready and that took a good twenty minutes. All this while I was wishing I was anyplace else but there ------- BUT --------............
........then me and my bro started talking to each other - just he and I - and it was the best 4 hours I had ever spent with my little bro in our LIVES, man! We got a LOT of things sorted out and got a lot closer in the process, so YAY, FLY FISHIN'.
Bill
Point taken, my friend --- so my comparison with The Beatles wouldn't be correct. Thank you for correcting me, though, and I hope all is well on the Bayou, NELA.
Bill
Awesome, man! Thank you!
Bill on behalf of "She Who Must Be Obeyed"
Dey are schtealing our musik!!!!!
Listen to this old song and see if you can tell me what the title was of the American hit. You won't need to translate anything, just the music and the singing will give it away. Can you think of any other countries that do this and would you post some of your own examples? If no one gets it, I'll post the original in a couple of days. It's not a contest so there's nothing but bragging rights to be had.
Have fun and remember -- don't worry about the words, just the music and you should be able to get it. I think Mr. Badeye might get this one pretty quick!
Bill
Oh, boy! This is wonderfully written easybeat, but I think only you British and Australian folks know how to react to it. All I know is "The Charge Of The Light Brigade" by Alfred Lord Tennyson.
Just a very small suggestion, if you don't mind? If you ever perform live, you need to speak this great poem out loud and then launch your band into a suitable song.
Thanks for sharing this, my friend.
Bill
OMG!!!! I'm definitely down with this one, Mr. Badeye!
Checking for albums now!
THANKS!!!!!
Bill
PS: Got me the CD, San Francisco Bay Blues! THIS is what I love. I noticed Clapton did the same one right behind Jesse's. Meh. I'm gonna get the original.
Thanks, Badeye
It would be interesting, relatively speaking of course, to compare Hank's rise with The Beatles'.
"35 singles, mostly hits", says our friend TIG, and only 29 when he died.
I may be wrong, but I don't believe The Beatles achieved as much in so short a time.
Elvis maybe, but I'm comparing The Fabs with Hank.
Thanks
Bill
I'd be very interested in your opinion, Zurf. The reviews are pretty ragged and it's losing money, but Tom Hiddleston is said to do a marvelous job as Hank Williams.
Thanks
Your friend
Bill
That's not a beret, is it Z? What DO you call that kind of hat? "Porkpie"? You British Chordians could help with that.
If it had been a beret, it would have brought back memories of the works of the great painter Tolouse Lautrec.
Not too many people know this, but he had a tattoo on his right upper arm which read: "Born Tolouse".
===================================
Hasn't been confirmed on Wikipedia yet, but that's what I heard.
Bill
Comments left on the Tube, but I'm a Springfield fan from way back and I enjoyed your cover of the song very much and hope you favor us with much more of your work, Curt!
Bill
Great tune and thanks for sharing it with us, Graham. Comment left for you on YT.
Cheers
Bill
