Thank you,Jeff.
In the future that is what I will do.
It is a shame though, that other Chordians interested in this song, will not have access to the info.
However the law is the law and we must abide.

Hi gtrig3,
This is an interesting song with a traditional  country melody line and an unusual chord progression.
I got in trouble twice on this forum by writing out all the copywritten lyrics to a song and then jotting the chord changes over the sylable of the lyric where they hit. So this time I am just writing chords over the words and letting you listen to the video and figure out the rest. Jeff Bridges has a pleasing voice but he has a bad case of the mumbles so it's not gonna be easy.
The intro is in Bm (minor) until after the word "train", then F#. After "last night" A
G        C         G        D        A F#               Bm,A

2.  Bm   F#     BM   A  G       C     G           D   A

   F#    Bm    A  A7

[chorus] D     G            D          Bm  F#  Bm  A

G        D       A        D G D

Bm    F#  BM  A G       C  G      D

  A   F# Bm  A   Bm        F#    BM    A

   G       C       G                      D          A

    F#         BM    A

    D  G    D        BM  F#            BM

     G        D    A   A                   D       G   D

Question marks for lyrics I'm guessing at.
Good luck,

lyrics removed by moderator topdown. TubaT - you are not "in trouble" and I along with many members really appreciate your sharing your transposing skills. That said, posting copyrighted lyrics is a tricky subject and in the future, I encourage you to send your full transpositions to the original poster via email instead of posting them on the forum. I am sure you understand. Thanks, Jeff

Congrats, Toney. The middle name will come to you and Ms. Toney and it will be obviously the right one.
I called my son hundreds of names as he grew up- the more outlandish the better - Throckmorton, Fenwick, Sigismund etc...
An old bandmate called me and asked how Fenwick was doing. I was confused at first until I remembered calling my son that in the mid 70's.

"On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson is a good jam along song. The Ab if you're playing it in E is the only accidental.

Around here, you better have "Sweet Home Alabama" ready to go.
If you are jammimg with strangers, you may find traction with "Knocking on Heaven's Door","Johnny B Goode", "La Bamba"or "Take it Easy" by the Eagles. "Put de Lime in de Coconut" only has two chords and if you know the lyrics anyone can strum along.

My buddy Chip hooked up his 8 channel Peavey RQ2310 mixer to Casey's new laptop. It has 48 volt phantom power and sounds great. It also can serve as a band gig performance mixer.
We're having a ball hooking up keyboard (contains all rhythm instruments), bass, mikes and guitars all at once.

My buddy Chip Collins - a drummer/vocalist from New Orleans, came to our house and set us up two recording studios - a mini studio here in my office and a biggie with a 24 channel board and 24 channel tape in my shop outside. We can now fool around in the office until we get something we are proud of and then move it out to the shop and put it on tape.
This is my grandson Casey's first effort recording one of his many original tunes. We told him to write about something he knew. His skateboard crash had him in the emergency room getting five stitches under his chin (you can see his scar at the end of his video).  He released it to U-Tube before I found he spelled stitches wrong. Oh well!

A downside to tribute bands is when they peter out so does your money.
My best buddy had a Jimmy Buffet show he played on the college circuit ten years ago. He wowed 'em with a huge sound system, great backing tracks, launching T-shirts into the crowd with a rubber band ballon launcher - he even hauled in his own palm trees and island scenery.
He quickly ran his income up to well over a hundred grand a year.
The problem was, Jimmy Buffet got old and rich and slowed down his producion of C.D's and live shows. My friend's income decreased as college students moved on to other music heros.

Ms. Lena, you have a wonderful command of your language. This poem is a graphic depiction of the despair we get lost in when a special one is taken from us. No need to regret the negative expression of our darker side.
We need to face this before we can begin to heal.
Then we need to learn to live on with that much pain.

We got fish jumping all around our houseboat but I rarely find time to get out there and hurt any of them. Throwing a net in the creek is illegal.
When on the water I gotta keep moving. I once towed a spinner lure behind my sailboat for 100 miles and got not a nibble. I am unlucky at certain things and fishing must be another of them.
I would much rather pick guitar and pound beers at Fly Creek cafe next door and order one of their fabulous grouper samiches.

G,A,F#m  G,A,Bm,A,Bm
Black is the colour:
G,A,Bm,A,Bm G,A,F#m
G,A,F#m, G,A,Bm,A,Bm
CHORDS OVER THE SOLO:
G,A,Bm,A,Bm  G,A,F#m  G,A,F#m,G,A,Bm,A,Bm
VERSE3 Black is the colour:
G,A,Bm,A,Bm        G,A,F#m
G,A,F#m  G,A,Bm,A,Bm
              G,A,Bm
Can be played with a capo on the second fret or:
modulate down 2 frets.

Rock on,girl.
