Good'un ww55 !!
Here's few of the hundreds of great lines written by the poet of the American working man - Merle Haggard
"I raised a lot of cane back in my younger days, while Mama used to pray my crops would fail"
"If we make it through December, every things gonna be alright I know."
"My hat don't hang on the same nail too long."
"Losin' wouldn't be so bad at all, but I'm always on a mountain when I fall."
"Sing me back home with the song I used to hear and make my old memories come alive."
"I turned 21 in prison doing life without parole, no one could steer me right but Mama tried"
"If you're runnin' down my country, man you're standin' on the fightin' side of me"
"The roots of my raisin' run deep"
"Keep your retirement and your so-called social security - big city turn me loose and set me free"
"Don't you think they'd like to stop complaining and fly like eagles out among the stars"
A cornacopia of Merle Haggard,, sweet

Some time ago a chordie friend, Zurf, mentioned to learn any thing on guitar, do it over a thousand times. I did that, and it works, Barres are easy now. It may bore you at times, stay the course, it works.

Yep, I still miss my dog, but it is nice to be able to play and listen to so many good songs about other people who understand the special relationship people have with dogs. Jane Sibbery's Everything Reminds Me of My Dog really fits me because I still get up in the morning and look over to where my dog should be and she's not there...yet I still expect her to be there even though I know she's been gone awhile now.
May be time for a new puppy Jets. Just a thought.

"The Weight" by The Band mentions a dog.
