As a kind of on topic, slightly off topic point ... Perth will see a super blue blood moon this month: https://www.space.com/39208-super-blue- … guide.html

Neo, cool guitar. Fannned frets  and angled bridge,  very old detail of building. My friend bought a custom build with Fanned frets. Don't see them very often. Looks like that guitar was loved. You can tell by the wear. What kind of pickup are you considering ?

Thanks - I've got two Fishman acoustic pickups (a Presys+ and an older one that I can't remember), I purchased one to put in my wife's "Hello Kitty" Squier/Fender acoustic (but still haven't got to that!!), so I'm going to pick the best of the two for this guitar. At the moment, I've rebuilt the nut (due to the dimensions of the nut, it was a hard one to find - most sell a 'standard' size, but being on an angle it's quite a bit larger). Next part is to chop the hole for the body, which is prepared but just need to get inspired to do it. smile

I've got another fan-fret electric, which was built by a luthier in Sydney - as it's not directly related to the topic you can see the pics here.

I did one from parts I bought years ago. I have been wanting to build another.

Yer, it's kind of addictive ... I'm re-working a multi-scale acoustic at the moment, that I bought from a home builder in the UK; trying to fix up a few flaws and add a pickup to it:

I think (given the model/brands in the OP) he was after an electric ... I guess the acoustic/electric argument would be valid if he had posted no models, but sometimes people want a specific type of guitar due to their personalities, external influences, etc ... horses for courses, so to speak ...

Funny you ask- I am just beginning to build a stratocaster.

I have built a guitar before, but now that I know a lot more about guitars I think the product will be improved.
Here is a pic of the first one I built- it's the wood one with the flag sticking up smile

That's a fine looking guitar!!!

I've made an electric "Parts-caster" from eBay bits and pieces, it's got a GraphTech ghost pickup system that drives a synth:

I think you can view the whole build here

Electrics are much easier to build than acoustics ...

I really liked that song, you played it real sweet too!!!

Reminds me that easybeat sent me a song to do, but it was when I broke my nail, and couldn't get the strum right with a pick - must get to that one!!!

Neo,the human jukebox, thanks for keeping CSOM alive.

Ha ha, thanks ... with a couple of young kids around I don't get much free time, so tend to put the songs in a setlist, give them a quick run through to make sure there are no "missing" chords, or anything unexpected (like the Ab in "Daniel") and edit my chord sheets as necessary. Then I'll make sure I've got about half an hour to spare, 5 minutes to set up, two takes of a song is about 7 minutes, two songs takes about 15 minutes, 5 minutes take down, and I have around 5 minutes spare wink

That's why a single microphone into my iPhone is ideal for me at the moment ... smile

I had a listen to your three songs as well, the Jimmy Buffet song really suited your style; nice and mellow, was perfect for when I was having my breakfast and morning coffee!! smile
