I have an idea for this  so don't discount it  by who it is.  It may not be as deep as Neil young or retro classic as Ode to Billy Joe,  but its a great song.

I think a lot of you all would  be able to really play with this, its called Rip it out by Ace Frehley.  many ways it can go.  so since many may not know the song its here.  Original https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2sMi8mtE_s  Live  this year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lzx3rrznvi4  one way to play it, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYyl8zyRWsc  however if you watch the live vid, he plays a A and the B on the 3rd.

however,  this song has huge versitality depening on mood. heck change up the chords even   lyrics can be found here. https://play.google.com/music/preview/T … s&u=0#

Garsh lets do a hard one! LOLOL dang Girl nice choice to push me!  I guess Rocking in the free world is out! lolol

Speaking of which who gets to be the  one to name the song each month?

This is my Nephew, Aidan Sailer on guitar and Vox.  His Step Brother on Bass, I dont know the drummer.  they do all their own recording and editing of both music and vids. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFWhyx9ngEo
and a softer one  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ff0xJqdUQgc

Enjoy and throw a like on their vids. they work hard and are good kids, err young men.

That was in a movie I remember seeing a long time ago. Always thought it was a cool song.

Ill give it a go even if my voice sucks, is it in the Chordie library

Thanks a lot for summing up, Amy.

To get the discussion rolling again, lets try to make it more targeted. Lets say - purely hypothetical - that Chordie was in the position of getting 100 custom made guitars from an high quality guitar manufacturer. Obviously there is no one-size-fits-all for guitars, but perhaps there are some designs or features that are better suited to, or more characteristic of, a specific theme or "purpose"? Lets say - still purely hypothetical - that the theme that was chosen was "campfire" and that the target price was sub-$500.

In other words - how should the specification for such a guitar be?

- solid Sitka Spruce top (cheapest of the spruces)
- laminate mahogany back & sides
- 00/concert/folk body size w/ single cutaway
- mahogany neck w/ rosewood or Richlite bound fingerboard
- 1.7" nut (Tusq nut, saddle, pins)
- no pickup needed (no electricity at a campfire, right?)
- fan-braced top, not X-braced (more lively, more resonant)
- 24.5" scale (familiar playability)
- maple for all body bindings & rosette

Finally ... a heat-embossed logo into the lower bout of the top, with a campfire graphic, and the name "Chordie Campfire" underneath it when held vertically.

This should be capable of being built at a $500 price tag, but still offer a decent quality, rich sounding guitar, that will feel "familiar" in most guitarist's hands.

I think you guys need to get in touch with GFS/Xavier.  Get a LOT deal price and then find someone to laser etch(wood-burn) that logo.  Or contact   or  CORT.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cylr2aG6zAw

IDK,   you teaching there?

I will just give you a name for your Heat and Air issues.  One of the most honest and hard working guys I can vouch for.  Sal Martinez ABS heat and air.  He is out of Mineral Wells but works the whole area.  I can't say enough good about him. He kept an old system band-aided together for 1.5 yrs and then replaced my whole system.

So when you get there, If you need info or something else done, give me a shout. (You on FB? friend me)  Also can help you out with area things to do, MW State park is really nice, and the camp ground at the Brazos River just of the service rd and under  the  I-20 bridge is very nice (not hillbilly haven, the one across from it)  we would just pay the day rate and hang out.  We already talked about Possum Kingdom.  Weatherford Lake is nice  and Palo Pinto Lake is neat. also Palo Pinto  its self is a neat little area for historical stuff, recreated original buildings.  Granberry is very cool great arts  and old school down town.
I wont even get started on everything down 281 south LOL.

Cheers
