When you go back to check it out if you check out the presets it will light up what guitar effects each preset has. If you get a chance spend a couple hours with it.Some say the guitar effects aren't as good as some pedals but I sure like mine, but i believe it is geared toward acoustic guitars.
Thanks Wayne P

Hello , I have a vocalist four that I like alot, not on all songs but i think if you play with it you will be pleasantly surprised. Some of the presets are very good.I would definately buy again if mine were stolen.

Hey , I agree Top but I think what Russ and I are saying is,maybe a response that they have come back and found the info they requested.I don't need a pat on the back but it would be nice to know if the person requesting the info has checked back to his or her post.

I'll, second that Russ. I've have even listened to some of the requests and figured out the chord progression and have not heard a reply.I guess I have lost some interest in trying to help also.

Hello, seems different guitars like different strings, my Martin sounds better with Martin strings my Yairi and Takimine like Elixer polyweb the best, they cost alittle more but last a long time and sound good too.I use 12-54  I wouldn't go lighter.

Hello, I'm no expert but I own and play some nice guitars and get to the local guitar shop fairly often and check out their inventory in the $500 price range I have not played anything that compares to the Epiphone Masterbilt series the one I like the best is AJ-500MNS if you have a chance check it out solid top and back and very nice neck and action.

Pix, That's a good one , we have a local hero that plays anything with strings and lives in Ten Sleep Wyoming,he is a great entertainer and funny as heck. Most of his songs poke fun at the hillbillies in the area or about Gillette Wyoming the Energy capitol of the world , full of roughnecks, coal miners and methane workers and Trailer Parks or Dick Cheney lots of material here to write about. Here"s Jalan Crossland there just arent many of the vids on youtube with good audio or video

Hello, Don't know if this helps but I sold a 1960  ES 125  about 5 yrs ago for $1000. In very good condition. Seems the single pickup guitars aren't worth as much as some other Gibsons.

Hello Jerome, I think we're getting off course a little, the original post was a question concerning existing songs on chordie so the they would be someone's recorded music and songs that would be covered by alot of us.

Have a good one,

Wayne P

I have to agree with Toney, I think the best way to learn songs is listen to the version you like over and over till you can hear it playing in your head, then you will gradually work it out.   Also when I'm learning a new song I use youtube to see how others,.play the song.

I don't read music, and when you don't, any visual aid really seems to help, but most of all listen and listen some more to the song your learning.

PS ,Sounds like Toney may have had some gunpowder for breakfast.

I agree Emily's  good and young, seems to be very sure of her self in a good way.

Back to Eva,I guess she didn't hit the really big time, cause she did mostly covers and sadly passed away in 1996 of cancer.I think she was incredible, not only her voice but her guitar playing was very good i have had great time trying to get her playing style down.It is a finger pickers delight.

Don't know how many are familiar with Eva but I thought I should share some of the satisfaction she has given me.I have spent the weekend getting her version of "Autumn Leaves" down   www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7-haKkFnT8   I've pretty much got the guitar down now working on the vocals.

If anyone is interested in her work www.evacassidy.dk/album.php?Da   the site has lyrics and tabs to some of her songs.

Hello Redbone, here's a link that should help www.cowboylyrics.com/tabs/shelton-blake/home-13089.html
www.countrytabs.com also has it but you have to sign in, they also have the intro there. Hope this does the trick.

I also agree, but I seem to grow with a song and as I get better at the song I get to leaning more to the original as far as adding licks , hammer ons or a strum pattern.

Music is good news, and a great healer, I will be playing at the local open mic this friday, and am excited to have some family coming to share in a good time. I have been through some very tough times in life and have always turned to music to get me through.
That is great news Toney!    and Old Doll cheer up and count your blessings.

Veterans Day & Memorial Day are special days,

In my hometown all veteran's that have passed on have a flag pole with their name on it. On memorial day we have a service in a nice memorial park and then family members raise the flag of their loved ones.It is a special time and I have raised my fathers flag with my family for 28 years.

It is a beautiful site when all the flags have been raised, with a military salute also.

I'm with you to Nela, in my opinion we needed someone to take on  some of our problems, not a preacher.Although i think some prayer may help.

I'm 55 yrs old and have been playing for many years and have about a 250 to 300 songbook and can remember alot but not all.I recently asked SouthPaw 41 the same kind of question and his advice was play with the lyrics and music in front of you and get it right rather than fumble along in front of your crowd. He is a pro doing it for a living and uses lyrics regularly.
