I just returned from another of Toney's gigs where I was thrilled to sit in during a break. This was the biggest crowd yet as they were having a chili cook-off competition ( raised over $300 for hospice - awesome!) and it drew a pretty good crowd. I did 6 songs and felt more comfortable than ever. I swear the Skype jams are adding greatly to my confidence. Lots of applause between songs, pats on the back and hand shakes after my "mini-set".

It gets better every time and is now beginning to actually be fun! (No more nervous trembling). I'm no Toney Hall, but if I can have fun and get a positive response from the audience... that's pretty damn great!!

Pete -it's set up as a Facebook Page, not a Group, so I don't think you can get it listed there. Groups are more restrictive to membership, so it was decided to set up as a page instead (that way anybody can join / post).

^ With that logic, you are saying that all Ford vehicles (founded 1903) are of better quality than any Toyota (1937), Honda (1959) Hyundai (1967) and Lexus (1989). I call BS. I'm a Ford guy (see avatar), but I know they have put out some crap vehicles throughout the years.

Now Martin makes a fine product no doubt, but longevity does not automatically equal quality.

Round these parts they say the snake has to be kilt with your own bar' hands in order for the humidifying properties of the rattle to work best.

I'm skeered a snakes - that's why I bought a Carbon Fiber guitar!

As this thread has evolved from a technical question about songbooks, to a "Welcome" thread, I am moving it to Chat.

(G) This laminate guitar
Has (Bm) come from very far
(C) Designed in Carolina
But (G) made by kids (D) in Indochina.

That is a great start M.B.!! - Build on that, I'd love to hear it!

Cam - sorry to see your Dookies go out so early, you know what they say, live by the three.....

But I am so pleased to see the Pack going to the sweet sixteen for the first time in 7 years. Hope you are pulling for us.

Congrats MB! At my age, a good solid Bm is often the highlight of my day!

Where's that "Like" button? I already miss Spring and Fall afternoons in NC. It seems Summer has already set in here in Florida. Had the AC on all day.

LOVE IT!

Here's to the wine we love to drink
And the food we love to eat.
Here's to our wives and sweethearts,
And may they never meet.
Here's champagne for our real friends
And real pain for our sham friends.
And when this journey finally ends, may all of us find peace.

Here's to all the women I've loved
And all the ones I've kissed.
As for regrets, I just have one:
That's all the ones I've missed.
While women's faults are many,
We men have only two:
Every single thing we say and everything we do.

But I wish you health, I wish you wealth
And happiness galore.
I wish you heaven when you die,
What could I wish you more?
May your joys be as deep as the ocean,
Your troubles as light as its foam,
And may you find sweet peace of mind,
Wherever you may roam.

Just wanted to bump - we're on line right now. Join the fun!

Welcome to chordie aeroparrot. You can view left handed chord patterns here by clicking the resources tab and on the bottom of the page clink, change settings. Click guitar (left) from the drop down menu and all songs will show with left handed fingerings.

(Beats standing on your head I guess). Other than that, often recommended is the justinguitar.com beginners course. Good Luck and stick with it! If you can get by the initial finger soreness and develop some callouses, you're 90% there!
