Maybe the wife has put in a filter so you can't waste too much time with us. smile

Haha. Sadly it's time. I have to make room for baby Ella, unless there's a handy carpenter type here who can convert a guitar case in to a bassinet for me. smile

seven electrics, three acoustics, mini sitar, lap steel, mandolin, traveler electric, uke. But i'm looking to downsize so I can make room for the baby.

That shot of the orchestra shows them still using their sheet music as well. So maybe they don't completely trust the technology of the Ipad? smile

Bill

Some of their music is probably unavailable in the electronic format or has yet to be converted.

Most of these orchestras have substantial music libraries. Just the act of migrating all that paper over to 1s and 0s is costly and time consuming.

Sometimes you are background music. that's just the reality of the situation. If it's a chill scene and people are talking and enjoying, it might be enough that they are staying put and not leaving. Some crowds are tough to engage.

I put my recorder up this time so y'all could hear some full tracks. LMK what you think. Was at a private party.

Apologies for the poor audio quality.

My guy would charge 40 bucks but it would include a new set of strings and full setup.

Get a multi effect pedal and have you some fun.  I'm not much for effects in general but something with a flange, phase, delay and maybe auto wah would be fun to noodle with.

That neck has an enormous bow starting at what looks like fret 5. Take it in to a tech.

sometimes action isn't the issue. it's a bow or a bridge. can you send side shots of where the strings meet the nut and the bridge as well as a lengthwise side shot of the neck, like this ?

Q How do you get a rock guitarist to stop playing?
A Put sheet music in front of him.

I had those tube amp converter thingies in them for a while (can't remember what they're called) and they sounded ok. Now I just have a cheap power soak in the effects loop and I drive the heck out of the amp on the front and then pull the volume back down. smile

Dave Mathews is a master of this technique

I've been thinking about moving from fender to something hotter but that amp has been with me for 14 years or so and I'm a sentimental fool.

Interestingly my guitar tech just changed my pups out- those are stacked humbuckers.  I was concerned I would lose the strat sound but thankfully that hasn't been the case....you can't hear it on this tune due to the OD on the plimSoul but it still has that nice glassy sound.

I was just giving you a hard time re the Marshall.  wink

Thank you but Marshall eeeek! there was a Fender Deville 410 next to the Marshall but it was obscured by my rump. smile

Thanks JT. Next year I might make it if it's ok to bring a 1 year old in tow. I hope she takes after her Dad and plays an instrument. smile

I played a trio show last Sunday. First gig in many years. Sadly I forgot to delegate video taking responsibility but my GF was lovely enough to catch part of this Phish cover. At the end we jammed it in to a song by the Meters. I'll get the whole thing next time for y'all.

I have a used 07 or 08 sg (identical to this one) with a perfect neck that has been professionally serviced, well maintained and literally played maybe 12 times that I'd be happy to sell you if you like. PM me.
