There is no such thing as too much boom or volume in an acoustic guitar (especially if you have a voice like mine!). Seriously, alter your picks or strumming - Volume is a good thing - use your fingers or even a felt pick if you want the guitar to be mellow.

Out of respect for the mod that moved it, I won't post the link, but I do think the site has merit and may be useful to members so I'll offer this super secret encrypted code (though you may need the magic chordie decoder ring to decipher):

Welcome to chordie Johnny. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you!

I suggest you just start a new songbook and ignore the ones with issues.

A nationally known artist and a local hero - We drive the Doc Watson Highway every time we go to the mountains. Amazing he was ever discovered from such a small town. Bluegrass wouldn't be the same without him RIP Doc.

From the article:

“He is single-handedly responsible for the extraordinary increase in acoustic flat-picking and fingerpicking guitar performance,† said Ralph Rinzler, the folklorist who discovered Mr. Watson in 1960. “His flat-picking style has no precedent in earlier country music history.†

LOL - I sure have been saying that for years - It's rule No.1

I think I'll make that my sig line!

I have a crossman 760 BB gun that I bought to scare away a raccoon that was making our front porch his home. I have a bad temper and I like to drink. I've stayed away from real guns for those very reasons. No doubt I'd be in prison and my kids would be without a mother (my ex) had I'd owned a real fire arm.

I love and play this tune. Written by Eric Bogle, but this version by Liam Clancy is exceptionally moving.
