Have seen them many many times since the late 70s. They always put on a good ol kick butt show! Even though they are now down to only one original member,Gary Rossington. They still are a big draw, even up here in the northeast. The guitar playing is still awesome!

I bought the 6 string version of this a few years ago. It is a very handsome looking guitar and sounds pretty good plugged in. But as you said it's a bit tinny unplugged. I did use it at gigs a few times and it was just ok. I'm thinking of selling or trading it for a Ibanez AEF 1512ent 12 string. Have not played one of these yet but the price looks right! We will see. I have a bad case of GAS for a 12er!

Years ago when I lived in S. Carolina, I had a roomate that was a guitar wizard. I learned so much from him in seven years. 30 Years later I still can't even come close to being as good as he was then. But the late night jam sessions back then were epic. beamer,I hope that this works out for you as well. Good luck!
And triumph is a really cool bike! Especially the old ones!

Zurf, that really sounds like a good time! I can't make it this year but I'm hoping it will become an annual event. Maybe next summer I can get down you way.

Hi there vigon and welcome to Chordie! This is a great place to get started with your guitar journey. There are beginners like yourself on up to pro's who have done it all and everything in between. All are very helpful.
First, I think it's great you are getting lessons right off. It will cut down on the learning curve a bit. Just keep practicing and then practice some more learning your basic chords.
Not sure what type of music you want to play, but most start with an acoustic guitar. You can pick up good starter guitars less than 200 bucks. Try to get one with low string action as it will be much easier to play. Epiphone makes some nice entry level guitars.
Have fun and good luck!

It's been a long time since I have heard that one. Good job Bass and keep those old songs alive!

Think most all guitar players at some point attempt to play Stairway To Heaven. After 35 plus years I still can't play it note for note. And I must admit, can't play anything else note for note either. But can fake just about everything! lol...

I like what you have so far guys. Perhaps another verse or two before repeating the first would get more of the story and feelings to come out. It's very good and just has me wanting more. Waiting to hear the recorded version. Nice job!

A nice weekend to play the campfire circuit.  Get the old Ventura out and exposed to some woodsmoke.
Some good food, friends and family, a cold drink or two. Yeah, let the good times roll!
Hope everyone enjoys a fun and safe weekend!

All1, Michael and you did a really good job! Love the harmonica playing too. Look forward to hearing more.
Very nice!

Nice job zen! Can you post a version of you playing and singing?
I always like to hear the artists way of how it goes. Thanks for posting this!

Roger, you are correct I did misunderstand the question. I just checked a couple of individual songs and could make the change. But do not have an over all changeover. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
                                                                                                                                        Dave

No problems here. I changed instruments and all the proper chord shapes came up.
