I can think of a few modern musicians I’d like to send a shame flute.

Are the shame devices instrument-specific? A shame piano would be torture to carry, but a shame piccolo doesn't sound too bad.  Maybe this informed instrument choice back in the day.

Finally, I didn’t realize Motown artists were paying tribute to Germany when they sang of the shame-a-lama-ding-dong.  smile

Bill I don’t believe we can upload pictures to the site directly. We can link to those hosted online, however.  Do you have a photo sharing account?

The first one is A/B, asus2, or B7sus depending on the usage and location of the b note

The second one is D/E or dsus2 depending on the location of the e note.

What chord shapes are you using?

Are you looking to adjust the smallmouth, largemouth, striped, white, or sand bass Bill? smile

Tf I use a Clyde deluxe now. It’s great but takes a lot of dialing in between the input volume and buffer circuit.

Wah pedal will work just fine with that amp Bill and of you need one I’ll mail it to you.  I have 4 that I don’t use. smile

Thinking more about chord variations, I do a lot of string muting and play many partial chords, rootless chords, and passing chords. Some of my favorites are

G/F#

or D/F#

while moving from G to em

G/b

instead of regular ol' G whilst playing a song in the key of C, or whilst moving from C to am. (This is also a nice voicing for Em7)

I use dm7/G (Which is enharmonic to G7 sus 4)

in the first two beats of songs in C, before resolving to G. (dm7/G is my very favorite chord to play on acoustic guitar. It sounds lovely.)

My problem chords:  "A" shaped barre chords, esp on acoustic. Always seems to sound muddy to me and it's hell on the ring finger.

I don’t care for either of the voicings you list above, so I too struggle with those because of how they sound.  I prefer this
E 2
B 0 (or 2)
G 0
D 0
A 2
E 3

That open voicing is my favorite and works particularly well on acoustic.

On electric I would play g maj 9:
E x
B 3
G 4
D 4
A x
E 3

Just a thought!

I love questions like this.  I listened to it and couldn’t tell what it was, so I did some research.  I think it may be an early analog synth called a mellotron. Check these sounds and let me know

Only funny cuz we know her and have seen that short leash she keeps on JJJ. What a great lady.

That is true about the short leash. She also knows that me and too much time on my hands isn`t always the greatest combination. Her biggest problem with me is not opening up about certain matters. Because of her I have stopped some bad "Recreational Habits". She has seen a lot more than you have seen on Facebook. None of it good.

I can imagine.  She seems great for you.  I’m a charter member of the Chris fan club.

Dude!

This is great stuff ... thanks for digging it out for us all. There's some stuff for sale like this that I've heard, and on the whole it's marginal to bad. Some are so horrible a person can't even recognize what the song is. I checked out the Alt Rock and Acoustic Rock links, and there's lots to work with.

Thanks, BGD!

That was my reaction.  Normally tracks are way too stiff.
