I've had no trouble reading it but thanks to Roger I just learned something about computers. Wow! At 70 an old dog can still learn new tricks.

My feeling is that you didn't have to like Country Music to like George Jones but if you like Country Music you had to like George Jones. He sang like he felt it. RIP

My Internet was out for a day or two but I did manage to post once with my Nook.

hkdj    To me a Taylor (and others)has a brighter sound than a Martin. I like like the sound of the Martins better. My son has a Martin like yours and I love it. If you decide to change you could post it in the "chordie Classifieds" and I bet it would go quickly.  Again welcome to chordie, AL

Welcome hkdj
If you will start a new thread I'm sure you'll get some helpfull comments. We try not to high jack others threads. A lot of nice folks here and we don't try to hurt anyone's feelings.

I call it 250 music. Two lines song 50 times over and over. But if it is inspirational to them I can live with it. just give that old time religion.

Pete, I didn't want to commit the same infraction I was complaining about. It's not hard to find.
I'm not concerned for my sake. I've been half way around the world and back again.I know we have young girls and boys including my 13 year old grandson who enjoy "chordie" and I have always considered it a family type website and would like to see it stay that way. That's all.

Some one has posted a new public songbook with a title that I would call offensive or at least in poor taste.

There is a little gizmo that lets you make all the picks you want from things like credit cards. I think it sells for about $20

I wish I could get my daughter to play guitar for $7.50 a month. She plays piano but not interested in  guitar.

Thanks for serving Rick. I too have a slight feeling of unworthiness when they call me a Vet. The only gun I shot outside of qualifying was a rivet gun. I was in the Air Force from late 62-late 66. I was a sheet  metal man repairing B52 and KC -135 aircraft. I flew over Vietnam twice going from Okinawa to Bangkok and back in a KC-135 with 4 fighters for escort. We were at such altitude we would be hard to hit  from the ground. Anyway, I realize  now that if someone hadn't done the work I did a lot more folks would have came back in body bags. All gave some, Some gave all.
Use your benefits, you earned them.

I think topdown is cool enough in itself. I read the word topdown I see a bright red convertable[not no rice burner either] with white rolled and pleated interior ,wire wheels and white walled tires and a very contented man behind the wheel. His left hand is doing the steering with  help from a nikker knob and his right arm is around a sweet young thing in a poodle skirt. Like a broke drum, you can't beat it.

A day without "chordie" is like a day without sunshine but 3 days without "chordie" and I start to panic. Thanks to those that make it possible.
