Sorry I did not get back sooner Alvee, but I had logged out.  From what I've seen it does seem worth it, I think a Years Membership workes out cheeper, and rember you can stay on the site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, now that has got to be worth it.
However I am having a bit of a problem, in that my vidio lessons are freezing, I downloaded the Broweser and Adobie Flash Player like they said, but I'm still having problems. Now this may not happen to everybody, in fact I am waiting for an answer from them as they are trying to sort the problim out.  Apart from that I think it is good value for money, and if they can sort my peoblim out I will be taking out a years membership.
Just one more thing every one who gets the free lessons and then takes out any kind of membership, Justin will get an amount from JamPlay.

Good luck and Helth to all!!!

Hi, to all those at Chordie who might be thinking about taking lessons on Jamplay.
Well I was checking my E-Mail to day October 5th, and I had an e-mail from Justin Sandacore,
and one of the things in it was a code for a Free Seven Day Period on JamPlay.com.
Now before I give it to you something you should know, the code ends with (GB) niow I am not suer if this means it only aplies to the UK,  ie, GB.
The other thing is when it actavates you will receive two E-Mails, One for Troubleshooting, the
other thanking you for taking up a membership with JamPlay, and you subbricition will be taken at the end of each month or quarter, don't worry, the only imfor mation you give is your e-mail address, no bank details. Now that means 768 hours or sitting up for seven stright days.
That's a long time unless your an insomneact.

So, type in:   www.jamplay.com/jg/redeem/             Code:         AE3GB

So if you want to tray it go ahead give it ago, what can you lose.

Luck and Helth to all!!!

Hey Toney man, I just read your post to Laurie, when I read about her, and then read the

newspaper artical on you, Jesus, I feel like a wimp going on about my wrist.

Reading about you has made me more determined to play on even if I have to with my feet.

I know you are playing again, but it must still be hard, and it will be hard for Laurie too, not forgeting Doc.

Let's see if we can keep the rest of the Chordie Gang in good health.

Here's Hoping!

Luck and Good Health to all!!!

Luck to all!!!

Hi Laurie, I don't know if you read any of my posts on how I smashed my wrist, I've lost some use of my right hand but I hope to be able to still play some style.
I can't think of how you are feeling, it must be heart crushing, you make my hand sound like a spriend wrist. I hope someone can come up with a way to let you play on.
Keep your chin up!

Luck to all!!!

Manny thanks Zurf, It's nice to have another opinon.

Luck to all!!!

Here's five that I think are easy,  the songs can all be got at the Chordie Artists section, under the names below.

Seven Spanish Angles,  Chords  A  D  E7.  By  Willie Nelson & the late Ray Charles.

The City Of New Orleans,     Chords   G  C  D  Em  D7. Willie Nelson.

Good  Hearted  Woman,        Chords   G  C  D7.  Waylon Jennings.

The Lost Highway,                Chords  G  C  D7.  Hank  Williams.

Hobo  Bill's  Last  Ride,         Chords  G  Am  C  D7.  Jimmie Rodgers.

All these songs are normaly 1  4  5,  Remember  the five chord is a Domanant 7th, beginers can
get away with playing the five chord as Major.   The City of New Orleans has 1 4 5 6, the sixth,
chord is always Minor,  Hobo  Bill's  Last  ride has 1 2 4 5, now the two chord is Minor;  however,
you can play it as a Domanant 7th, or even Major.   Remember the chord system  I.E.

[1]  G MAJOR [2] A minor [3] B minor [4] C MAJOR [5] D, Domanant 7th  [6] E minor ,

[7] F Dim [8] G Major.

I normanly never write out the eight chord it's the same as One.
Remember it's the same for any Key!  Hope this helps.

As for;  The City of New Orleans  it gives an Am  and a Bm however I play that bit with just the Am; I have tried the Bm, and it sounds out of place, or maybe it's just me.  Anybody any other,
thoughts let me know.

As you learn how to play them you can increse the number of chords, but don't go overboard?

I'll have another look through my song books, I think this is a great Idea!

Luck to all!!!

Well the Plaster is finialy off, even with Physo, i will not have the full use of my hand.
It won't go back or forward verry far, I can move the arm up and down which aloys some struning, one or two songs, then I have to rest.
I can move my fingers but not fast enough to fingerpick and not without exstream pain.
I don't have verry much power in my right hand so I have to pick the guitar up with my left.
I seem to be able to rotate my wrist as long as it is slow, if I move it fast that's it for several hours, even using my right hand to type this message is painful, and I only type with one finger of each hand. Plus at the minute my right hand is twice the size of my left hand, it swole even more once the plaster came off, don't figuer?
Still, I intend to carry on somehow.

I can symathise with Lauriesmyname, I think I'll still be able to play in some style, I wish you luck Laurie.

PS. For our American friends on Chordie, I got a Telaphone call from Busch Gardens, they had said they might pay my Medical Bill, now I made no mention of suing, I have not even spoken to a lawer, and suddenly there saying it's not their fault because it was raining just before we went in. My point the road is laid out in such away that it becomes slippery when wet and I was on a small incline when I fell. If that is the case why did they let visitors in?  My Question to the American members of Chordie is what do they think?

Yea, thanks Kenny, you say it coust you $275, now that should be about £150, however with Music Tax it will probley cost me double that, that's the British Tax system for you, if it doesen't have a Tax, stick one on it.

Thanks to all those who answered my post on the Korg and the Pod, I think I might go with the Pod solely on price, we in Northern Ireland pay through the nose for all electrial gear.
There is not a lot of compation, just three music shops in Belfast, which by English standards is a fairly large City. Anyway thanks again to all those who replied.
As for you Doc I hope you are keeping well, and continue to get better.

Luck to all!!!

Hey DP,  My only advice for what it's worth is, Put the CD on close your eyes and try not to listine to the tune, try insteed to listen for the beet, and try and see if you can hear the strum of the Guitar. I think you should be able to get the timing of the song at least.
That's it for what it's worth?

Luck to all!!!

Hi, thanks to Drake, while we are on the subject, what about the Pod, imfo on any of them would be good. What I'm realy looking for is some sort of kit that will play background sounds as a backup to my playing, IE a Bass sound, drums, another Guitar.
I remember in the sixties when Pubs and Clubs where just starting to get music on at the weekends, you had one guy with an elictric Guitar and a little machine that looked like a little tape-recorder, which give him what seemed like a backing group. I don't want to end up with another amp and a stomp board full of stomp boxes. This is just for home use?

Luck to all!!!.

Hi to all at Chordie, I Keep reading about the Korg Pandora PX5D, I was wondering if anyone could explain what it acutaly does, in plain English. I have a 100amp and mike set up one distortion peddle and of course an electro acustic Guitar.  If some body could explain what it does i would be greatfull.  If any member of the Chordie Gang living in England Scotland Wales, and especily Northern Ireland could also let me have an idea of the cost of this peice of kit it would be great.

Luck to all!!!!

Well I've been to see the big bone Doctor, and here's the choices.
They don't want to operate because I have Chronic Bronchitis (Forty years of smoking) and I would need to be knocked out, also the reason there was so much damage was because I have Osteoporosis, (that's thining of the bone) and they could not gunintee the outcome.
If I keep the plaster i have on now there is a chanch I will only losse some movement in my wrist, hopefuly the back and forward movement, and not the up and down movement, so i can still strum and with some physo i might get the full use of my fingers back, so all in all not bad.

I have to this Thursday to make a decision, operate or keep the plaster, I think I'll keep the plaster and tak the chanch. I went ahead and ordered my new Guitar?

My daughters and grandkids say I should get rubbed out and start all over again, Oh if only we knew what lay ahead of us, (We would probley all kill ourselves) but there you go.

Luck to al!!!

Hi to all those who wished me well, it's nice to know so many are rooting for you.
I don't intend to let this stop me, even if I have to end up playing with my feet.
As the arm improves and the pain improves, I'll write a lot more topics.
Luck to all and many thanks.

Hi to all on Chordie, well I'm back from America, after three weeks but things did not go as planed.
I won't go into all the details now, I'll get around to them latter in another post.
Anyone who has read my posts will know i had planed to take out a years Membership with Jam-Play, this however will have to be put on hold as I fell at the start of my third week, in Busch-Gardens and smashed my right wrist and arm. The Doctor in America wanted to oparate, but that would have ment me being left behind when my family returned home, so I waited till I returned to Belfast. I now have to see a specilist to see if I need an oparation, as the arm and wrist are pretty well smashed up. I'm typing this left handed and even after more than a week I'm still in a lot of pain. So I can't even practies, there is a slite chanch if it is not set right I could lose the use off my right hand, so at the minute i feel gutted, still I am hoping for the best. More at a later date?

Luck to all, Headcase.

Hi Alan, you of course realize that most people on this site don't have a clue what were talking about.
I am game for a Band just no Base Drums., we'd have to have big speakers though, and that's would be just for us never mind the public.
As we say over here: May you be in Heaven a half an hour before the Devil knows you'er dead!
Live long my Friend.

Hi Alansheeran, it's the flute player again, no, I have the same problem, ie, a Hearing aid, but I use it while I'm playing the guitar or not, I can still pick out my Minors and sevenths ect,
I blame it all on the flute playing, too close to the base drummer, I expect?

Luck to all !!!

Hi Leo Me again just a quickie, you say you have good pitch, you tune your guitar and the strings sound fine; until you play a chord.  Perhaps your pitch is not as good as you think, and I don't mean any offence by that, if it's not your pitch then something is raddicialy wrong with your guitar.
I have a pretty good ear and if I can get my high E string to sound in tune, then i can tune the rest of the strings to that.  How you do it is im most beginers books; having said that i use an electronic tunner, because how would you feel if you walked out on stage with a band to find that you were not as quite in tune as you thought. One tip, you should tune youe guitar every time you use it, if your not suer if it's out of tune then play a full E Major chord playing all six strings, play it slowly a couple of times and you'll soon hear if it's in tune or not.
Luck to all. !!!

Hey Leo, perhaps you are in a bit of a hurry to learn too much too quickly.  Your still at school,
so you won't have as much time as old guys like me, I started playing Guitar just under a year ago; give or take a week, at 62, so you see I don't have the time you have. However I played in a band when I was young and you had to learn Music. Our conductor always said there were
olny two words that mattered in music they were; Timing and Practice, without Timing all the practice in the world was usuless, and if you had Timing if you didn't practice, you were going nowhere, lighten up on yourself enjoy you learning.

As for Barre Chords, well barre chordes =Practice.  If you go over to the JamPlay site and watch the free lessons, there one on Barre Chords, it lasts for 38 minutes it;s verry good.

Remember, and a lot of people don't that Barre Chords opens the whole neck of the guitar to you. the two main bar shaps are the E chord shape and the A shape; and dont forget once you learn the dreaded Barre Chords it's not just chords like FMajor or B Major you can play using the open E & A shapes in a barre you can play chords in the Minnor the Seventh and Major Seventh, and that;s just for starters. I wish you good luck.

Luck to all. !!!

KAP54, I read your message about the accendent, and my heart goes out to the boys family.
Off course these type of accedents are always likely to happen, to those that deserve it the least. Verry, verry, sad.

Just one thing I would like to bring up, I followed the link you posted and at first all I got was a message from Yahooo Canada, the I clicked of and got the page about the accedent, then when I tried to get more imformation I was derectied back to Yahooo, this was Yhaooo Canada, I don't think this is the sort of news slot to be using to get Yhooo comstomers.
No offence ment to you.

Luck to all. !!!
