As Amy says, so much better to find it early so you can work hard as you can at beating it. There's lots of positive stories about full recoveries. Focus on the positive.

Sending my thoughts and prayers your way.

Lots of goodies to pick through so I'm gonna have to jump in again. Have the maps been updated with tidbits of info on the receiver?

Doh.....I'll check the online map......Doh

You are indeed a lucky chappy smile

You can never have enough family.........it keeps you real and sane...............or is that real insane.
I've yet to figure that one out but as they say, it's all good.

Congrats all the way around Grampa

Ken

PS Nice lyric, should be another good tune from you.

Felix Baumgardner is on his way up to 120,000 feet. Last check he was at 14,000' so it'll be a while before he jumps into history.

Best of Luck Felix smile

Very Cool vid Russ,
I've been following this guy since last year with amazement. He keeps getting higher and higher with his final jump coming up. He's already jumped from 103, 000 ft  but it's not high to achieve the speed of sound or break the record set by Kissinger. His main concern is when he breaks the barrier....one itty bitty tiny weeny little hole in his pressure suit and he will end up looking like bad lasagna. The thick air slows him down to a natural speed for his chute to hopefully work properly unless there is a hole, then the point is mute.

I'm pulling for him, it's pretty cool and very gutsy

Ken

Ouch...Trust me I can relate. Those drills always seem bigger....just like those jack hammers. sad

Nice job on the vox, recording and mix. smile

Hi Jim,

That sure is a beauty. The art work gives it real character and how you have it mounted for display fits it like a glove. smile

Nice

Ken

My head has finally cleared from too many wobbly pops last night...but it was well worth it. Almost 5 hrs of good times went by way too fast sad but that's OK cause I know there will be a next time. smile Between Topdown, bensonp, Zurfs, Astronomikals, and jgreen (sorry I can't remember first names and hope I didn't forget anyone) I heard some awfully good renditions of songs I haven't heard in years and some I've never heard but will certainly look into for future songs to play.
I think having a session to share techniques would be a good idea. Let me know when and I'm in, just don't know what I have to offer but I'll try.
Thanks for all the kind words on my writing style. Without getting into crappy details I wanted to let you know how huge it is for my well being to hear a positive for a change. Makes me want to start writing. smile

Russell.......................I know your reading this so I hope you and others will join in on a future Skype.

Cheers all smile

Ken

I had a great time skyping with everyone tonight and wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all smile for making me feel welcome. Scary as it was, it was a real pleasure to meet, chat, listen and play for you.
Here is the link to a youtube channel that has some awesome tutorials for some great songs.

Hey Russ  smile  Sounds like your having a blast with your new gear...good for you. I'm looking forwards to seeing and hearing what your imagination stirs up, It should be good. I don't get on Facebook at all myself. A while back I figure I got hacked or phished or whatever they call it and had a whole pile of spam mail sent out in my name. I did get Emails from Chordie members about them. It knocked me back a couple more steps as I had nothing to do with them and I sure did feel bad. Whatever they were I hope you didn't get one.

Anywho...enough of that blabbering.

Eagerly awaiting your next project. smile

I suppose #1 would be when the road is being worked on and I get redirected into the single line. No problem there...its the 2 or 3 drivers that feel they can drive up to the front of the line and poke there nose in until someone lets them in. Unless they're pregnant and about to give birth someone else can let them in. I gladly put up with their swearing and dirty looks cause I gotta be somewhere to.

It's these drivers that make the line go slower.  Yeah, that's another of mine.

I wonder if they get tired off people swearing and giving them dirty looks...I know I would.

Hi MB,

Hopefully they're tunes that are new to you, if not that's OK cause it was a great trip surfing down memory lane.

Kenny

Howdy Roger,
Yup some good ole tunes for sure. I'll give it a good shot to stop in more often, maybe hook into a skype jam if I can work up the *#^%$$ nerve. LOL

I've been lurking/not posting for the last couple of years and after reading MB's post about hearing Revolution and Helter Skelter for the first time I thought I'd post some links to just a touch of some great tunes from the mid sixties to the mid seventies. I talk to my family and friends kids and they all pretty much agree that the era of the sixties/seventies is tops when it comes to music that evokes raw emotion. I gotta agree. smile
So MB I hope you enjoy the links and music from the best era there was for music. Maybe others will post more links cause there's tons of bands that I've never heard and I'm closing in on 60.

Welcome to the awesome world of music and the best forum on the net.

Cheers smile

I haven't been around much lately, anywho I found this link to a group of what looks like 3 year old Korean kids that is just amazing and at the same time deflating to watch. I can't imagine what they will be like when they are 10 let alone 20 years old.

Enjoy...I hope.

Hey Amy, I found that practicing three finger major chords with the pinky, ring and middle finger helps a lot. Leaving the index finger out of the equation for barring or walk downs seemed a lot easier after a short time.

Nice write Robert smile
A child born at anytime of the year is special, but a child born through "a religious time"  should remind us all no matter the religion, to respect the beliefs of others because it is what it is, and life is life.

Well Written my Friend.

Merry Christmas
