My Dad was a big Hank Williams fan, he use to sing lots of his songs so I was kinda raised on Hank. I also like Hank Jr and play several of his songs, one on my favorites is "I Got Rights" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YtvEn3Cvho
I also like many other songs he does Blues Man, All in Alabama, and so on.

Thanks guys, I knew you would help. As I said I use to hear my Dad sing that song all the time when I was a kid, so naturally it's always been a song that stuck in my memory and I catch myself singing before I even realize it sometimes, I want to spice it up a little though, thanks again for the help.

Thanks again guys, The news stations are still in the area, lots of cleaning up going on as you might imagine, my friend has another place to stay thank goodness. I appreciate everyone's concern, it means so much to folks who's lives where normal one second and completely changed the next.

Seems like the music industry has hit us again. 200+ labels withdraw their music from Spotify: are its fortunes unravelling? http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/201 … om-spotify

I don't really know the answers to those questions, I just happened up on it while looking over the net, maybe someone else can answe those questions for us.

Thanks guys, I pass along the good wishes to the ones affected, I'm sure they'll appreciate it. Things are a mess here just now, but were a close knit community and everyone knows everyone, it's still hard to believe, worse thing I've seen personally since Hurricane Hugo hit South Carolina while I was staying down there.

Click all 3 links here. The lumber yrd it's shows is next door is a cross the road, it's a real mess in my community.

Some of these pictures and video are with people I know in my community, it says Lexington or Thomasville NC, but it was actually outside of town, in Silver Valley NC. The video of the vehicle buried in debris is from what use to be a Marina but now it was game room, the little local store that I visit everyday is right next door. It was left virtually unharmed, just very minor damage  but two restraunt's one connected to the store was hit pretty hard, another restraunt's just behind the the scene where the car is another restraunt that took a huge hit as well. If you look at the first link to pictures I posted earlier today,  you'll see that some of them are on New Cut Road, I can see that road from where I live you can go two miles down that Rd and more homes destroyed. I could actually walk to them if I wanted to.also and this is hard to believe, but my friend who lost his home runs one of the restraunts as well, so he got hit twice. the community will surely help him. Thank God his kids weren't home with him when this happened.

Here is some new video of what remains one at the top, another at the bottom. http://triad.news14.com/content/top_sto … son-county

Also, I did not know the people killed, but it was a Grandmother and her Grandchild from what I understand.

Last night a tornado struck the community I live it, 3 deaths, a lot of this damage happened within two miles of our home. We were lucky no injuries or harm to us but the tornado's path destroyed many homes and business. I spoke to one friend of mine this morning who's home is completely gone. I went over to look at it, and there's nothing but the foundation left. You just never know, be grateful for who and what you have, it can all be gone in an instant.

I was just wondering what anyone thinks of the very fluid and unfolding situation at Penn St. I believe in due process of the Law. Penn St cancels Joe's  press conference amid reports the Joe wants to speak to the media, and I'm sure he will at some point. But will he even be the Coach by the weekend. This story has some many layers, from a criminal standpoint, morals, ethic's. To who try to cover it up, who didn't speak up, and if the School administrators tried and apparently didn't follow up on the reports of Sandusky's actions and didn't contact the appropriate  authorities.

My first thoughts are with the kids involved, some in their 20's now, last report I saw was the appropriate authorities  are saying they have upwards of 20 victims now coming forward. So many questions to be asked and answered. I want to hear Joe speak, I feel we need to keep an open mind until all the facts are in. Was there lack of leadership, of course, was there the lack of the upper Hierachy coming forward when they should have, yes. Why did Sandusky still have an office there. So , so many questions, but lets give due process a chance to work.Let our first impulsive feelings to settle and here Joe Speak.

When all the facts come in and it's clear that Joe should have pressed this matter and didn't, and it appears he didn't, then lets let the authorities do their job. I do want to say it looks bad for Joe and I'm not sure there's a way out of this for him, and if he knew and didn't press this to include authorities, then I to think he should go. As much as he was the face of the School and College football to a certain extent, he should have come forward if his AD didn't then Joe or someone have call the authority's.

Joe was an american icon, no doubt he did a of of good with so many young men who played for him, some of them are hurt, confused upset and feel betrayed. So again I urge people to wait until all the facts are in, but this does not seem to me that it can be a good ending for Joepa, heads will roll most likely his included. It's so hard to wrap our minds around this especially with the facts not being completely in yet. But if it's proved, he should have done more to stop this then I'll be one of the first to line up to say he among others,  is that he must go. The kids are the first concern, Sandusky second. If we have become a society of people especially people in their position who have turned their heads, it's a  become a sad, sad world indeed. But again, I caution people to let Joe speak, let all the facts come in and let due process run it's course. If this topic is to controversial, then I say to the Moderaters to please feel  free to take it down....your thoughts?

I love a good defensive game, but LSU I think that for them to win the national tittle, they'll have to improve on their offense. LSU still have a tough schedule ahead of them, so nothing was settled to night,it may open the door for OKLA State, Stanford. But I for one still believe we need a playoff syetem of some type to determine a true National Champion.

It's game day LSU vs Bama. Toots is right about football in the south, it's almost a religious experience. The tailgate parties, the pageantry, the alliance to your team. The rivalry's run as deep  as  your favorite fishing hole, and go back generations. People ask who's your team to figure out who and what your about.

To address what ED said, The NCAA is as guilty of being after the almighty dollar as pro-sports. I will admit that I didn't know about the one year scholarships that certain teams give out, though I must say I'm not surprised at it.

All in all though, it is what it is, all sports right down to the High School level needs cleaning up. Yet in the South, and I'm sure elsewhere we still love our sports. Here in North Carolina we also love our College basketball. I'm a Duke fan, have been longer than Coach K has been there, our rivalry with UNC is as good as there is in sports. It's as strong as Bama vs Auburn or Yankees vs Red Sox.

Anyway, I have no dog in tonights game, but can't wait to see it, it's gonna be a smack down dog fight and may the best team win, I hope it comes down to the last play with a chance to win it, both teams are capable of winning it, my head says Bama, but my gut says LSU We'll see tonight.

Welcome to Chordie, always room for more, just jump in and hang on, great people here.

Cam

Thanks for the heads up Roger, sometimes we all go into the shakes when Chordie isn't working right. Best music site on the net.

Cam

All I did was restart my computer and it started working right again.

Cam

Is anyone besides me having trouble with Chordie this morning. I opened it up, everything is different, it won't let me into my song pages. The layout on the front page is much different, is it just me or are others experiencing this as well?

Cam

Well, for whatever reason I'm no longer having that problem, it seems to have fixed itself, guess it was just on my end
