Topic: FOR LENA (1 replies, posted in Poems)
I just thought I'd write this for my friend, while listening to David Gilmour...Love to Declans sons Keith and Mark and the rest of the Clan
Declan m. mcvicker
my tears find their way down the path they know
and I cant say that my face can show
and express the weariness of life in flow
I have to think we are still there, all of us, as we watch
the change that brings us pain
the River of Tears is a mighty move
all we can think and all we choose
Is at the moment we realize we are doing so
And so as we walk now, me being profound,
I have not felt the languish; of having my someone in the ground
So my Love to you I say I feel so much remorse

Ok my friends
it was never my intension to say I have pain...I do not..my question was about loosing dexterity
the function of movement caused by carpel tunnel... my fingers lockup not with pain but disfunction. Now Im doing some exercises that seem to relieve this
i have been a wood worker all my life and my left hand has been my vice in terms of grip
so now heres where i land
I probably grip the the guitar way too hard but have to retrain my self to not too do so, thanks too you all for coming up and saying.... and Ken; cheek is always appropriate .. Im divorced twice.. Ya cant hurt me.....Slantche'

I suppose some of us older folk experience some limitations of playing dexterity. I for one am one of those people
Im finding my left hand somewhat restricted and my index and middle finger running into each other. My wrist and barring has become more difficult. I did have some carpel tunnel problems some time ago but much of that is gone. And I did break that wrist a few years ago. Im wondering if that is coming back to haunt me. Well my question is does anyone know of some thereputic exercises for the left hand and warm up techniques that might solve this?
Its scarey to be playing and your fingers go palsic and lock up until you shake them loose.
