Try taking your guitar in the shower, it worked for me.

Hey, there's plenty of guitarists who can't sing.
I agree with cytania's assessment of Johnny Cash. Try not to replicate the voice of the song your playing, just make it yours.

Create a .pdf file of the word document & the Chordie songbook and then insert the pages from one into the other. There is no conversion issues. Just print each document to pdf. If you don't have this feature go to adobe.com & download acrobat.  I created the booklet of 250+ pages for free in just a matter of 1 minute and I carry it around on my thumb drive so it will always be on hand. Why work any harder than needed.

Kurt changed the world, to a certain degree but Esteban will someday prove to be the true Zoro of rock!

Come on guys, I truly hope that none of you take this seriously.
I truly idolize the man for Kitschy reasons.

Aww, have a heart for this infomercial.
I hear chuck norris is going to join him for a duet.
Kurt was a disillusioned junkie who didn't have the guts to wear leather & shades.

Are you saying to pull a Adam Sandler?

Try printing if to a .pdf and then  from the .pdf file opened in adobe acrobat, print ot the desired printer. It may be a postscript  issue, this should resolve it. You should have this as a selection within your printer interface, if not then maybe a .ps option which can be opened with acrobat reader also.

It's also nice to print your whole songbook to a .pdf document so you can digitally archive it and insert future pages as you go.

This allows unlimited amounts of great songs to your collection and a lot less wasted paper.

Good luck

Having read some of Krhoades other posts I realise that he is not an unintelligent person, in facy I was particularly impressed with his posting about 'altered states' in the Chat section.

My comments were a personal observation and nothing to do with Administration. I cannot remove that handle to make one, so I have learnt a lesson there.

Krhoades, I wish to apologise, hold my hand out in friendship and bury the hatchet.

As Southpaw suggested lets get back to playing our guitars and helping one another.

Roger

Rodger,

I apoligize also for coming off a little brash.
I fully respect the forum & what you do.
I guess that I have a little chip on my shoulder for I have always a difficult time being the new guy. Previous forums have never been so kind.
The hatchet is buried.

On to better discussions

Drugs are terrible. They are the weapon of mass destruction. Unfortunatley without them we would never have such a great history of muscians & artists. It's always the tourtured souls that bring greatness. What a catch 22.
Why do you think they call it dope?

PINK MOON (Nick Drake)
by moonlight of course
Trust me his catalog if full of gems that is a little off the beaten path but right on the mark.

If not, then anything by (David Gray).
the one I love, sail away with me, flame turnes blue

If you really want her to be impressed, play in arpeggios "Ice Cream by (Sarah Mclachlan)
Just don't practice around your buddies if you want to keep your reputation.
She will melt like butter.

John mayer & all those MTV cronies are just too predictable and overplayed.

When a newcomer to Chordie posts a sensible question asking for help I do not see how a meaningless one word reply is going to benefit him/her. Chordie is a place to seek and give help.

My dictionary gives the definition of PUNT as 1/ a flat bottomed boat, 2/ a certain type of kick to a ball, and 3/ a gamble or bet. So how does that make a meaningful reply or even a jovial one?

If the word means something profound that I do not understand then I apologise most profusely, but I would like to know the meaning.

We all post lighthearted replies from time to time, it would be a sorry place if we did not, but normally along with it comes some sensible comment to help the contibutor.

Roger

Definition  2/.
In football, When all else fails, it's time to punt.
It's just an expression that shouldn't be taken literally.
It's commonly used as a jovial reply to a person whom you share their frustration.
I didn't know that every comment needed to be sensible/meaningful.

Is claiming my intelligence to be "insufficient" sensible?
Especially coming from an Administrator.
A forum Administrator should not formulate opinions of that sort.
By the way, you spelled insufficient incorrectly.

Isn't Chordie is a place to seek, give help and "have fun with a commonality"
which I'd like to add.

I'm just curious to figure out why the criticism toward me.
For I never attacked anyone or spoke of any harsh words.

I'm just here to learn & have fun.
If I wanted to be critcized, I'd talk to my wife.

Just so everyone knows, that was Tongue-in-cheek.

Please let me know if I can't have fun here.
If so, then I'll go elsewhere.

Hi krhoades,

I've got a Mexican Strat and I'd say it was well worth the money. If I was you I'd go along too your local guitar store and try out as many as you can in your price range and then make your choice.

Thanks,
I'll try that.
