Jeff,
Sorry to hear about your dog. I am very attached to my aging dog. It's going to be a hard day when she goes. She got lyme disease last year and I wasn't sure she was going to make it. I wrote this one:

Another post reminded of this unfinished song (I have many). I wrote this for my dog. She had lyme disease and it appeared she wasn't going to make it but actually is still with me albeit very old. The recording is very rough and unfinished and honestly, will probably remain this way.

DON'T WANT TO CRY

I've bought over 50 online and only had 1 bad experience and it was rectified by the seller....   I have no hesitations in ordering a guitar unplayed.

Pix, you say you bought 50/ Wow! Your wife must deeply love you to put up with that.
My wife would let me buy a second tuba if I can demonstrate to her satisfaction that I can play two at the same time. roll

You should not have posted that.  Now my tinkering mind is going crazy with ideas of funnels, inner tubes, toilet seats, tubing, diaphragms, and cans of beans.

OK...I'll bite...why cans of beans?

The playoff system works. Sure, there were some less than strong teams in the West but so what? They won the division. I enjoyed Rams v. Hawks game. It was "win and in theater"; what more could a fan ask for? I'm a life long Pats fan but we're not forgetting 07.....

Sure, the Seahawks might not scare me but there are several teams that do. It's going to be fun.....

Top notch as always Ken! I really, really like the chord progressions. And of course, I would like to hear your version...no stress.....

Careful with that practice thing! I go through phases of practicing scales and such but when it becomes a chore rather than a pleasure I kick it to the curb.

I try to measure my playing success by the amount  of enjoyment rather than technical accomplishments. While this may retard my growth as a player somewhat, I always try to remember why I play: not to be famous, not to impress someone else, but rather because I love to make music (for better or for worse)

I guess the moral is: don't practice so much that you forget to have fun. Enjoying it is what it is all about.

Same to your Sir!!!

I'm with you too! Last year I even fell of a 6 foot ladder putting up lights...didn't mean I didn't have to get up and keep going though. I detest decorating the tree and house

Thanks for sharing. I liked them both but Blur Balloon blew me away (no pun intended). It was excellent. Well done

Bravo...top notch as always Ken. I hope these lyrics are fictional. They are very powerful. I always enjoy your stuff. I'm glad you're feeling better and writing again! smile

Agree with above. Your computers input is not designed for that sort of thing. You need an interface to clean it up or an advanced PC soundcard. An interface is much less expensive and can be external (USB or Firewire). I use a Tascam US-144 runs about 100 US $. They can be as low as 50 US $

I've got one hanging in my office.... been played maybe 5 times.
I found it difficult to play and didn't have the gumption to learn all new chord forms....maybe someday I'll pick it up again.

I paid about 100 bucks for mine....hope you have better luck...or at least better ambition!

Believe it or not, my wife wants a mop.  A mop!  I'm serious.  I had to go buy other gifts so that the mop wasn't our anniversary gift because there is no way on this side of heaven that I'm going to buy a mop as an anniversary gift.  OK, it's a super-wonder mop with steam and other tricks, but it's still a MOP.

A mop? If I bought my wife a mop as a present I would get to see the other side of heaven!!!

Happy New Guitar Day....you can't go wrong with a Guild. Consistently fine guitars.....

Good deal...shopping is 1/2 the excitement! After a while you'll have to give and choose something.

Try and drag the shopping out as long as you can stand smile

And model and pics when you pull the trigger is customary

There seem to be less and less "stand up" GC's these days. Used to be you did the job, the way you said you'd do it and you got paid. Now dealing with GC's is more like dealing with lawyers. You spend most of your time watching your back and reading fine print. Sorry to hear things are going south.

Gone are the days of handshake deals, an honest living and a straightforward deal.
