No matter how many times I hear it, Hotel California makes me sing along.

Also, can I have the American Idiot album by Green Day cos I only listen to the whole thing as one!

Thanks

Hi Guys

Just my two penn'orth,

Unfortunately these days there doesn't seem to be enough time for me to learn the ins and outs of politics so I have to rely on 'soundbite politics'.  Being Mr Average, I guess that means a fair few folk on both sides of the pond are in the same boat so a fair few people are going to vote for the one whose soundbite was chosen by the news networks, regardless of who might make a better president/prime minister.

Good luck to Barack Obama, I hope his youth and energy carry him through to make the changes that are needed.

Now, about Gordon Brown...

Doesn't matter who you vote for - the government always gets in.

Good song!

guys, your education is sadly lacking!

Joss sticks are just incense sticks, used in eastern religions to appease bad spirits and bring good 'joss'.

Hippies got hold of them and used them to cover up the smell of hashish/opium/marijuana etc.

I think y'all are obsessed with drugs!

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Dave Grohl but he (literally and figuratively) and Krist took a back seat to Kurt Cobain.

Good topic Doc!

Hi y'all

Here i am listening to the mighty Foo Fighters but... hankering for the chords or an arrangement for the beautiful lament from Scotland 'The Flowers Of The Forest'

Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with the Foo Fighters!

Any pointers would be gratefully received!

Cheers

Hi, forgive me if this has been brought up before but....

I've noticed as I have been browsing that some songs just don't sound right as displayed.  On some of the songs if one hits the chopro button to revert to the original text file, a bunch of lines appear with instructions for capo placement and such.

Is it possible to display this text on the songpage in chopro?

I've started adding bits at the bottom in the improve this song window when I find them but.... I guess I'm just lazy!

Thanx

hi guys,

if you look in the box to the right of the song page, there are a number of tools... one of them is 'print', this sends the song to your printer, chords n all!

cheers

Another thing to bear in mind is that if you turn on a radio you aren't guaranteed to catch a song at the beginning.  This makes each part of the song equally important - it's got to grab you all the way through!

you also might want to check out Jeff Healey's unorthodox style of play - almost like a lap steel too

Not to mention the man was responsible for the greatest salad dressing in the history of all salad dressings.(seriously!) And the coolest scene in all of film history when he ate 60 hard boiled eggs in 1 hour. What's the name of this film?(was it 'Cool Hand Luke'?) He was in prison on an island somewhere......Paul Newman was one cool dude and a fine man as well.

Cool Hand Luke it was but it was set in the south, not on an island... that might have been Papillon with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman - one of the finest prison movies ever!

Pedantic Bonedaddy!

If you like a good intro try

Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh
Blue Monday by New Order
Hard To Handle by Black Crowes

Bargain bin... why are pink floyd never in the bargain bin?  I got a hanker on to replace my lost copies of Wish You Were Here and Animals so I went to Zavvi (ex Virgin Megastore) and HMV.  Both albums £16 or approx $30!  Scandalous!

These albums have been making money for the Floyd since the mid 70s so why not relax a little?

£8 off the internet though so all is not lost.

And somebody please tell be what the difference is in holding a cell phone up to your ear while talking and holding a CB radio mike up to your mouth and talking> I don't understand 'dis one.

While you are eating you are not in full control of the vehicle.

CB radio is the equivalent of the old police radios so if you banned CBs, the police would have to arrest themselves!  Don't quote me on that but I heard it somewhere and it makes a bit of sense!
