Hi Roger, yep it is open, there is no set number of songs for either category whether color or instrumental.  There hasn`t been set numbers on Suggestions for a while now smile

Thanks guys for understanding smile

Ok, for month of APRIL, looking for SUGGESTIONS for TWO Separate Categories as suggested by our very own members.

First up from Neophytte, his idea is as follows:  The First Category will be any SONG that mentions a COLOR in the Song, in the Lyric`s or the Song Title.

Next idea from Baldguitardude:  Our Second Category will be INSTRUMENTAL.  Yep you read it correctly,  NO Singing/Vocals.  This gives Everyone a chance to participate, particularly any members that are a bit shy or just don`t want to sing but love to play their instrument of choice.

So with a big thanks to Neophytte and Baldguitardude for their idea`s,  go start SUGGESTING!

READY … SET … GO!!!

Hi Peatle, totally agree, we can not marginalize older people at all.  I totally agree with what you have been saying with regards to all of this.  I have all sorts of scenario`s going on with both of my eldery parents, life threatening and including dementia .... so I certainly have great feeling for the subject!  But as much as I am passionate about the subject (a worthy subject to discuss and consider) I stick by my comment, it is a discussion for the chat section.  I did not mean to offend or demean the subject or your heart for the elderly.  Sorry if you have taken offence.

Zurf ..... now, that was another song I have never heard of before!  That is what I love about FSOTM, I get to hear so many songs that are new to me, have never heard before.  Anyway, enjoyed listening to you cover it and tomorrow when I am not quite so tired, I will google the orginal song to hear it as well smile

Hi everyone back now and will do my best to catch up tomorrow on all the FSOTM stuff smile

Just as an aside note, it might of been better to have all the "discussion on the elderly"  in the chat section, where it would be more fitting rather than here which is simply FSOTM smile

Thanks everyone, will be onto this tomorrow : )

Great ideas guys, keep them coming smile

I am one of your number one fans!!!

Wow Neo, you definitely need a `pickle` award or something for the person who enters the most songs!  You amaze me at how many you manage to cover, well done once again to you.  I thought your guitar work on Pinball Wizard and New York - New York was very good.   There was a couple of songs there I havent heard of before such as Rock n Roll and Going to California, so its great to hear new songs smile

Thanks Neo and Zurf smile  and Zurf yes i know what you mean about travelling to distant family members, its very much the same here for us, our closet relatives are 71/2 hours away.  I totally understand the elderly parents things too *nodding* in the same boat.

Neophytte ,I haven't had a chance yet to listen to your latest entries but will endeavor to tomorrow.  Time has just gotten away from me this month.

On a completely different note, looks like I am out of time to enter this months songs as we have had a death in the family that is quite close to us, so I will be unable to get something entered before the end of the month, although, I may come back and revisit this months and attempt something later on.  Such great songs on the list.

That said, just a heads up that next months FSOTM for March will be a few days late getting up as I will be away due to the family funeral.  Will do my  best to get it up as quickly as possible on my return.

Tig, i would love to hear mojo or Phill or Rickyjack (who seems to be missing from Chordie) try this song of yours, their vocals would nail it I reckon.

Oh I forgot  BGD would be good at this as well and well plenty of others on here too for that matter.
