Great link beamer - took me 3 days to watch it all the way through. What stood out for me is SRV and Hendrix. All of the folks on the vid were awesome guitar players - nobody Owned or Ruled the instrument like SRV or Jimi did - those 2 dudes were absolutely out of this world.

Toots is in Alabama (near Mobile, I think)- not New Orleans. I'm sure they got pounded to, but he's got family close and is a smart old sailor, so I'd bet he is in good shape. That said, I'd sure like to hear from him personally also.

That would seriously piss me off. Lots of hard work goes into gardening and there's nothing as good as a home grown 'mater. Hate it for you bud - hope the thief gets worms.

I never had a doubt.

Happy NGD JoeyX3 - You deserve a treat and a '59 Gibby sounds like a good one. Looking forward to seeing some pics and hearing you pick her.

Learn and love major, minor, mixolydian and dorian and you'll be good to go. The mode Jerome is talking about is phriggin' ridiculous.

See what I did there?

Yup - that phriggin' phrygian scale kills me!!

My eyes usually start to roll behind my head at the mention of scales. At least I got a chuckle out of this one!

I'd like a sound card that would me sound like Eddy Vedder on vocals and Eric Clapton on guitar please!

The opening artist was Richie Havens. He closed his set with the iconic FREEDOM (MotherlessChild).

I lived only a few miles away from the town of Woodstock, but I was only 5 years old at the time. My only real memory was seeing it on the news and my parents complaining about the traffic.

^ AWESOME!! MB2!!

Figure out the frequency of your wife's voice, then find a hearing aide capable of tuning out that specific frequency. Problem Solved!

If you have a link to the tune, like a U-tube vid, maybe one of the fantastic ears here can transcribe it for you.

- Emails without a subject line... I just delete without reading

- "How do I post a song on chordie" or "I can't get the beatles". Spend a damn few minutes reading other posts, resources or the FAQ and you will discover you can't post songs here. There are likely dozens of threads with the exact question on the same damn page - a little research goes a long way!

- Press 1 for English! Do I live in Spain or Mexico??

whew -glad to get them off my chest

Sorry to cut out early folks, but I enjoyed it while I was there.

Props to you workout!! - I know when I first took lessons back in the early '70's Mel Bay books were the lessons of choice (and they still are available). Justin Sandercoe also offers a great free beginners course on line.

The Beatles Rooftop concert

To this day it kills me that some banker called the cops and got the rooftop concert shut down. The last live appearance from the Beatles and some petty office worker had it stopped! That dude should be found and be the first inductee into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Shame!

I've been missing my Skype jam buddies.

Anybody else interested? I can start hosting at about 6:00 eastern (which is when I get home from work). I will be rudely making and eating dinner on camera though (as usual).

Zurf has expressed interest - Amy, Wayne, Astro?

If Friday is better, I'm up for that too - I have no real life.
