Sorry Phill, lol

I hope ya didn't lose your shirt on Wales ?. It was a great ole Buzz for us i must say. First time  to win since 1948 ?

I did think we were on a loser in the first half. But such sweet joy in the second half. it was a fantastic game
of rugby.  Dublin city had a great atmosphere last night. We all went to " Yamamori" great restaurant on the quays in Dublin.
Highly recommend it to visitors.

We also had a world title in Boxing, The brilliant Bernard Dunne.

We also sold out completely of flowers  yesterday for Mothers Day , so a treble grandslam. lol

Recession ? What recession lol

I can only speak for my self here.

I dont have the ability to write fantastic chords to songs i write. So, i dont want to be boring the chordians here with my
simple chords. If i post here in poems, its LYRICS, im thinking . Unless i state other wise !
I have had lyrics  here turned into great songs, which to me is fantastic. First , that some person finds them worthy enough,
then takes the time to do so. Brings me great pleasure indeed.

Yes! there are great poetry forums out there  Southpaw,  for me they don't have the perfection of chordie. This forum to me is  "Like the best box of chocolates " to quote someone ! It so completes all aspects of writing and music.

This link here is a poem by Maya Angelou. Amy Sky", carried this around in her purse for quite some time.
She seen the potential of this great poem for a song.

I have the greatest respect for you Southpaw as you well know by now. But, am i not understanding you  totally in your post ?
If not ? enlighten me more Sir.

As always love to you and yours.

Oh dear, Tubatooter,

i meant no offence to your neighbours. But when " fear Rua"   [ the
black man ] said about the "flute and his grandfather ! well i near busted laughing.. He hadn't a smidgen of a smile on his face !.

The first person i knew with this colour was this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=offCRhz-AGk

he was reared with us as kids. This was the late fifties. Phil was
a lovely person, but unusual to us because of his colour.  We never seen  "Daoine Dubh "  [ Black people] here on this island. in those days.  Now, were surrounded by them.

Manys a great gig i was at when Phil  sang  with the Black Eagles. he used to pack out the clubs and ballrooms in those days.

Unfortunately the demon drugs put a end to Phils life.

Have a happy day, tuba.

Beautiful mystical dense fog over our Island here this morning. Not good for drivers im sure, but its so peaceful . We get this phenomenon when we get warm sunshine at this time of year.
Just  thought id share this with you all.

lol Topdown.

i guess i learned a lot being reared with 8 brothers.

quite a few of my brothers dont like meat. My Dad was the same.
He showed me how to fillet fish at a young age also.
Yes ! i do cook a good salmon, even if i say so myself. [big grins]

Topdown. in your photo you look like the first guy i fell in love with.
He had long blonde hair. He was a well known DJ here in those days.  Now he is bald as an egg lol and has a major drink problem i believe !. Lucky escape or what ?

Goodnight to you from the Emerald isle.

My favourite pastime outdoors. Nothing like it i say.

I started with my dad who loved sea fishing.   In my teens i was shown how to fly fish on a beautiful river in Cavan.
caught my first  brown trout, that day mayfly fishing. I was hooked. Ive been all over this land fishing. Salmon fishing in the Ridgepool in Ballina to lifford in Donegal. Spelga Dam in County Down is another great spot for fishing. This land is full of rivers and great loughs for fishing.

I have a garage full of fishing equipment as we all like to fish, coarse, or fresh water. My rod is a Greys fly fisher . Light as a feather. Lidl or Aldi stores opened here some years ago. They have  a great range of flies for fishing, Sooooooo much cheaper then the fishing tackle shops.

My one big dream is to salmon Fish in Alaska. Its on my list of things to do. whoohoo i cant wait.

Aah, Alan, them bacon ribs,  They'd put muscles on your piddle. lol We like silverside corned beef also, The soup today was a Godsend. nothing like it for a curer.

Snakes ? Our good nuns taught us The snakes was in reference to  ridding Ireland of paganism and evil ? . Its a pity he didnt include the rogue bankers.

Selso reminded me of this poem yesterday i'd written. As i do believe were all made to love and be loved. The choices ive made sometimes leave me feeling like this.

Needs.    Helena.Donovan

Ive a real want,  a need want
Sensory mission play want
A touch want, a kiss want
Arms and  lips at play want.

I need to smell you
To feel you,  your breath upon
My face,  to trace you,
Out line you,  loving  face to face.

Do  you ever feel the need
For the art of love at work
Alerting all your sences
To your favourite persons touch

Its a sound want , A  voice want
whispering round my ear want
The sacredness of 2 want
Loving with no fear.

Its a you want,  a me want
Body trails of love want
Seeking all the pleasures but,
Im waiting  your not here

Selso,

back in the seventies i heard Kim larson singing.  I was strolling through Amsterdam  I Heard his voice wafting out from a coffee shop singing. he played then with gasolin. Never had a clue what he was singing about because he sang in danish, but always loved his voice.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
