We just had an earthquake here in Massachusetts recently. I didn`t notice even after it was announced on the news

If it aint broke, don`t fix it. I just bought a 59 Gibson with a crack at the soundhole and neck. It doesn`t affect the sound and playability. Until it does, I will leave it that way.

They make it sound like the end of the world up here. It`s going to be rainy and windy. At my job, they are using it to increase numbers. I`m sure a hurricane up here is a wet day down there. The same way a major snowstorm down there is a minor inconvenience up here. I will use the day to clean up my music room

Another piece of trivia. The creator of Rocky and Bullwinkle had a campaign to make Moosylvania a state. The plan was a lighthearted press oppurtunity to have President Kennedy sign a bill to pass it. When they went to the white house they werent allowed in. It was on the same day as The Cuban Missle Crisis. Stupid little things like that stick in my mind for some reason.

In kindergarten and first grade they did the drills a couple times. It kind of faded away. That was back in 1965-66. A piece of trivia. Old radios from the 50s and early 60s had two triangles on the AM dial. They were where you would tune in for further instructions after the bomb was dropped. As late as 1980. The Worcester Telegram posted where the evacuation points were for certain cities. Worcester`s was  Gardner, Mass. When I heard that I said I think I will get blown up instead.

If it aint broke, don`t fix it. It still plays and sounds good. Leave it alone. My Gibson has a crack near the soundhole. It still sounds and plays good. It will stay that way.

I could never figure out how to get pictures on here. Also- the plastic guitard (elvis, roy rodgers) are made by emenee. They are fairly collectible today. I have a 1960 teen timer and tiger  guitar in my collection.

Was the movie any good?

Havent been yet 2:35 is when we are going. Practice is usually at 2. If I try to squeeze it in I would be in trouble

The movie was good but slow going. It had its funny moments but not what I thought it would be. I won`t tell anything about it so not to spoil it for others

Dinner and movie.  Seven Psychopaths and chinese food. It`s a restaurant I don`t particularly care for but it`s not for me. It`s for Pam.

A great song for 12 string is "playing with fire" by the rolling stones. Fingerpicked

As far as learning goes. The sounds are different but I think of an electric as a car with power steering and an acoustic as a car without power steering. One thing for sure. A poor quality or badly set up guitar will be hard to play no matter what type it is.  I used  an acoustic  for practicing. Then an electric was that much easier to play.

Martin silk and steel or Ernie Ball earthwood lights. Starting with an 11. I prefer the Ernie Ball because the strings are still one to a pack. Martin changed the packaging and I stopped using them.

^ Except for the PIA chores of re-setting the clock and all your favorite radio stations that is!

you can buy a thing taht you put in your cig lighter/accessory port that has a 9V on it and it saves your codes smile

Well - that's brilliant!

How long does it take to reset your radio stations and clock. I am willing to bet it is less than driving it to a garage.

I always try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it after a few minutes. If it doesn`t work. You wont be any worse off

Acoustic: Yamaha apx-4-a   . Electric: 1996 Fender strat. Bright red- maple fingerboard.       These are utility guitars. The ones I use with a band. I also have a 1967 Rickenbacker 450-6. Solid body.Try finding one. And a 1959 Gibson acoustic. Plays like a dream. Too many others to name.   My daughter (the trout)  has 2 main guitars. An Ibanez ae-18 and a 2001 Fender strat with a Humbucker near the bridge. Plus an early daisy rock -rock candy and a squier strat. Plus the squier mini she started on

I always go to the private store before I go to guitar center for that reason. There is only one Union Music in Worcester or anywhere for that matter. Where guitar center is like a Wal Mart of guitar shops, Union Music is like Ike Godseys general store of music.  The private stores are disappearing fast. I will support them first.

How much is a new neck compared to replacing the guitar?. Can you find a used one for cheaper? The quote was from Taylor. Did you take it to a quality luthier? It`s amazing what can be fixed when it looks like a total loss.

I`m so sorry to hear about your friend. I hate cancer, my wife is a survivor and I almost take it personally when anyone else gets it. I hope the best for his family
