Toney, I believe you're saying to use the one red and one white RCA outlets on the mixer into the one red and one white RCA inputs on the front of the amp, correct ?

Can't help you Pix, but I would be so excited to have a bass in my family, we have a guitar guild that meets and plays together and when a bass shows up they are like a celebrity. Also at the bluegrass fests I go to the upright bass players are so much appreciated. Seems in my wanders there are lots of guitar players and not many bass players. Sure hope it works out.

Right on Norm!  tuning is first and foremost and I tune up before I play to myself or others. I don't tune very well or fast by ear either but I can darn sure tell if someone is out of tune. smile

Heya Jeff,  I was kinda strugglin with it the first time I tried and I'm pretty computer literate. With the help of Russ and once I downloaded photobucket it was easy. On photobucket it even does the copy and paste thing for you.
I think though what some don't understand is you have to have a image hosting site.

Ok  here's another for the Salad Lover's   I know everyone doesn't like Blue Cheese dressing but if you do try this it it great! It makes quite a bit so you might want to cut in half.

Blue Cheese Salad dressing

1 pint Mayonaise
1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
4 oz chunk blue cheese
1/4 cup water

Melt blue cheese in the 1/4 cup water

Mix it all together, let cool and refridgerate

I don't completely melt the blue cheese cause we like it kinda chunky, whatever you prefer you can't mess it up.

Hello Everyone,  there has been alot of discussion lately on chord progressions and it brought to mind a couple of holiday songs I play that are very nice.

They are both here on Chordie the first one is  Mary Did You Know by Kathy Mattea

The next one is There's A New Kid In Town By George Strait

I plan on doing some holiday gigs this year so I thought its never to soon to start practicing

Looking out for the family is first and foremost. I know from my experience that maybe I would have been better off without insurance. Getting out of the hospital the 2nd time and unable to work and then find out you owe a hospital $ 50,000 is mighty bad news.
But on the bright side the doctors told me 10 yrs before my experience most folks died before the first surgery so I guess struggling along and getting that bill paid sure beat being 6ft under and pushin up daisies.

I'd agree with all the above especially leaving the guitar out where you can just pick it up, play a few riffs and put it down.  I don't set aside any practice time, I just go when I feel like.. which is most of the time.  Even if the kids are watching TV, I'll pick it up and gently strum using just my thumb for hours!

One of the first posts mentioned passion and I think thats the thing you need.  Without a real passion you wont get through those early dark days of bleeding fingers and dodgy strumming.

My fingers aren't bleeding anymore but my strumming is still dodgy.

After 2 colon surgeries in the year 2000  I can not bash our healthcare. I had a  doctor friend on the east coast, that researched my area and recommended a doctor to me. I had very good care from the doctors to all the nurses and others.

The big problem I had was with the Insurance company that picked and chose what they would pay for. I was stuck, after a year of fighting and going to the state's Insurance Commisioner with about half of the bill. It was a very bad experience.

If you have a choice pick and choose your Insurance wisely, cheaper is not always better when it comes to health insurance.

Legend has it that I was there. But I was just starting high school and my mom wouldn't let me drive from North Dakota to New York with a learners permit. Dang it anyway!

Phil, the guitar work on this is very nice, the tone , progression really works, :Nice one !!

The biggest thing for me is keeping it fun and enjoyable. I go through slumps like everyone and seems everytime I come out of it some way or another.

Awhile back I was in a real slump and felt everything I did sounded like crap. I had just posted a vid on youtube and got a comment on chordie and youtube from Upyerkilt he is a confirmed  hard a$$, but he gave me the nicest compliment I've had in my years of playin and it got me going again. I hope I am not damaging his reputation.

I don't really think how long you've been playin is real important, being dedicated is and Pix is doing very, very well and you can tell his hard work is paying off.
Thanks for the nice comments, helping others and sharing some tips is what i enjoy the most.

Thanks Pix, I haven't played it for a while and my pinky finger is SCREAMING OUCH!  When I use to play it regularly it wasn't so bad, I run through it several times today and that little finger sure is hurtin by the time you get through it.

Hey Pix,  I just did a rough video on Wonderwall  not trying to rob your thread. I was just posting it for a friend that wanted to know how I play it. I don't perform it though I usually have someone else sing it. I dont like my singing on it but I threw it in anyway.

Good Job Pix!

You have a great voice, I think you should turn loose and add some vocals. I am just working on a vid of Wonderwall, but it's a lot different from yours and yours is good, it's a finger pickin version kinda like Ryan Adams did.

Hey Nela
I think it's a three chord song and I've heard it in E A B7  progression and a A D E7  progression if I remember right. Whatever key you prefer.

PS, Don't go jumpin around like Jim Dandy when you git it figured out, it could be hard on your health!
