I thought and thought about what to post for my big 1500, and I decided my contribution to Chordie on this momentous occasion should be a meaningful one.
So here it is, friends. A goat playing guitar.

bluejeep wrote:While I don't name any of them, I do think of them as female, and always refer to them as she. I also refer to my boats as female. Now you got me wondering why. Everything else is refered to by their brand names and if there are several of the same brand, color is used to refer to them, hence the moniker "bluejeep". I once worked on a project to convert a gas powered vehicle to electric power and we refered to her as "Evie", I don't identify anything as "he", so the question is, do I need to see a shrink?
See the shrink...
A female shrink?

I have mine too. Gibson ES335. Although to be honest I don't play it nearly as much as my cheaper instruments!

Topic: Question for you (19 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)
Russell's response in another topic made me think of a few questions...
1. Do you name all of your your guitar(s), some of them or none of them?
2. Why?
3. If yes to #1, do you have a naming protocol? For example do you give them all women's names, etc?
Looking forward to the responses!

Re: just read (4 replies, posted in Acoustic)
Django Reinhart only had two good fingers on his fret hand, and Tony Iomi from Sabbath was missing 1/2 of two of his fingers. Jeff Healey was born blind and played his guitar more like a lap steel.
Lots of world class musicians adapt their instrument/playing style to the limitations of their body. You're in great company!

Re: Noise issues (4 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)
Is it a pop or a hum? If a hum it's likely a middle pickup grounding issue (if it only happens in positions 2 and 4).
Everything is worse in overdrive.:) Kick on a tuner between songs as a temporary fix.

Sad to see the lead singer of one of my favorite bands growing up passed away yesterday.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, he was quite a talent but struggled with some demons.
Here are a few favorites.

Re: Question About Tubes (5 replies, posted in Electric)
if you want to play with your tubes and like a less drivey sound try swapping out the 12ax7s for 12at7s. They are great.

I own the rights to all of the pics I've submitted with the exception of the one of me and Jeff, but I don't think he will mind. (See what I did there?)
As an aside, minors require the consent of a guardian, not their own. Also, a strong argument can be made that use of these photos is covered under fair use as Chordie is an educational site. But I understand the conservative approach. Might as well avoid a headache.

May want to move this to electric.
I generally hear a whine. They start to feed back really easily. They hiss, even when clean. They clip. And it gets worse as they get louder.
