beamer, comments left for you in the songwriting thread.  Nicely written.

Roger, I attempted the song~ Love Is All~  Around but just couldn't do it justice at all!  I tried quite to record it a few times and just didn't sound right so I gave up, don`t think it suited my voice even with transposing the chords.    The other song I don`t know so didn't do it.

beamer well written and great to see you and jets collaborating with songs.  I like this song and it was great to see you perform it on you tube.  You surprised me with your version too, guess I was expecting a heavier or metal touch to it from you so a surprise, nicely done.

jets, ditto to the collaborating with beamer as said above.  Liked the chords you put with it, it sounded great.  Your vocals sounded in parts a bit like Neil Young, hope that's a compliment as I like Neil Young and his music.

Sorry to hear Grah, it`s always hard when it's someone you care about.  Makes us treasure our memories of them all the more doesn't it, hugs to you.

Nice one neophytte and great to see you  had a mate join in with you for this one.   Mixes it up and makes it interesting to see others as well.  Do you 2 play together often?  I think there is a 3rd "wanna be" that wants to be in the video performance as well  hahaha ....... maybe get your son to join in next time with a shaker or something lol smile

Nice one Phill, I enjoyed listening to it.  I think this is the first song I have heard you play without all the sound effects so it was more raw, natural (if that's the correct way to explain it) smile

Ok ....... here are some challenges for people from me and I am going to try and deliberately pick stuff I don`t think you would normally cover or something out of the ordinary if I can.
Lets see ......

neophytte  ....  An Original Song from any Chordie member.  You get to pick one from any of the talented song writers here in Chordie (just go to the song writing  section) and cover on of their songs in your own way smile

Roger Guppy  ...  A Heavy Metal number (of your choice).   I don't see you as a Heavy Metal musician (I might be wrong smile )............ so thats my challenge to you smile

easybeat   ...  A Cover of any of last months songs, performed by you as close as possible to the original cover, in other words, not making it your own version, or your own style smile

Ok ............ that will do for starters ......... smile

Any other takers on these songs? Have ago smile

Hi everyone, back from a holiday hence the late comments smile

Roger, wonderful cover on songs!  You sounded great vocally and musically.  You did a fantastic job putting them all together with the sound effects, instruments and loved the pictures as they flicked on through with both songs.  What a gorgeous dog and very lucky and blessed to have found you to live with and care for her smile

Hey everyone, for OCTOBER we are going to have a CHALLENGE MONTH again, we haven’t had one of these in a while!

What does that mean?  It means YOU can CHALLENGE ANYONE to a SONG of YOUR CHOICE!  That`s right … YOU can COVER it YOURSELF if you want and then CHALLENGE SOMEONE ELSE to COVER it  …  OR you can just CHALLENGE SOMEONE to COVER a SONG of your choice!

Now ….. just to add to the FUN, you can also do any INSTRUMENTAL COVER YOURSELF and or CHALLENGE a member to do any INSTRUMENTAL COVER if you want, that`s right ….. so, there`s no escaping for those members out there who like to perform INSTRUMENTALS but are not so keen on the singing part.

So, with that all said, start SUGGESTING SONGS, INSTRUMENTALS AND start CHALLENGING MEMBERS! ready for next months FSOTM!

READY!  SET!  GO!

NOTE:  If your having trouble finding these songs online,  I will ask Roger to post the the Chords to the Songs here for you if he is able or else you can contact him yourself as Roger has the chords for both songs smile  Sorry I am out of time to do this as I am heading away for a few days smile

Ok, here we are in SEPTEMBER already!

This month for FSOTM, we have Roger Guppy who`s name was drawn out of the Hat to choose TWO GENRES and a SONG to go with EACH GENRE.

Here are the Two Genre`s that Roger has chosen and the Song he chose to go with each Genre:

1.    A LOVE SONG:   Love Is All Around ( Troggs 1967; Wet Wet Wet 1994)
2.    A LULLABY:  Hush-A-Bye  (Peter, Paul and Mary 1963)

Here is a possible link for Chords to one of the Songs:
https://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www. … 73331.html

Ok, Have Fun and see how many of us can COVER these TWO SONGS.

READY!  SET!  GO!

Thanks Roger, just flick me an email with your song choice so  I can set up this months FSOTM smile

And the Name drawn out of the Hat today is ...........................

Roger Guppy!!!

Thanks to Peatle and mojo for taking the time to have a listen  and comments smile
