Hi Trevor
Just had a listen liked the melody and overall feel of the piece.
I think the mixing levels could be tweaked a little perhaps the strings brought down a tad just a bit overpowering at the start..
What software are you using to mix etc with.
anyway Well done

Every time I learn a song it's like I'm only learning the skeleton of it, if you will. I never fully learn the details and then I get bored with it and move on to another song. hmm What should I do? How can I keep myself on one song and actually play it without leaving stuff out?

Any tips or advise?

I think it all depends on the sort of person you are. Getting the bare bones of a song and moving on to anothet is ok. I've done it enough myself. Personally it has never interested me to get a song sounding like the original. I've never seen the point unless you perform to audience that expects to hear what they know.
I've only completely learn't songs that I really love so I guess it's down to determination and love of what doing..

Hey Trevor
Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment on the music.
I see by your avatar that you have a connection with Taosim. Not that I know much about the beliefs of the religion..
Your music fine. you should have heard my early stuff err maybe not.. smile
ark

Just a quick one if you remove the spaces between the letters from the first bracketed song at the top then the chopro will work also keep the link for the song out of the chopro format and put it in the description..

It’s to men and women like Harry Patch that we enjoy our existence and freedom..
Who knows what sort of world would have developed without their sense of duty and sacrifice.
RIP Harry Patch and thanks….

Hi KajiMa
Thanks for the comment. My recording "Rig" is pretty basic sorta spare bedroom type..
An old Tascam 4track handy as an interface for the instruments to the PC and Magix Music maker software which will basically make a guitar etc sound as you want it to with a bit of trail and error.. err lots of error. smile

Hi Russ
Thought I try something different. Not sure about lyrics though on this one..
Thanks friend..

Hey ShadyWilbury

That would be great.  I should have proofed my message before sending.  Let me try again -

Is there anyway to find songs that have recently been posted?  Could there be songbook created holding all the songs posted in, say,  the month of July or some other time period?

Hi etsu_maki
If you mean new songs that have been added to the Chordie index of searchable chords and tabs from other sites (As Chordie is just a search engine and does not host songs itself) then it's as Ken says not at this present time.

If it's original songs posted in the "Songwriting" Forum then It's as Daddycool says generally the new ones are at the top...

Hi all
I'm no mandolin player but... It's got strings frets etc so I gave it go..
Don't think I got the hang of that particular madolin sound you get while strummng so I will have to work on it.
Not sure why I put in the guitar break. I just added the strings for added interest..
Anyway have laugh and give it a listen lol

Hi doc
I think your right when you say a song just got to have something catchy up front.
For various types of music it could be different a rhythm, melody, riff, musical hook or even something vocal just something that makes it standout of the crowd..
Usually if there's something good at the start of a song the rest will follow.

Hi Tuck1
To unsubscribe or delete a registration. You would have to email admin. He moderates the "About Chordie" forum with Roger Guppy.
Saying what id you wish to have deleted this can be done only by him or Roger. This might take some time as he's a busy man or you can do what hundreds of registeristed members have done and just not use that id again as ken says...
Hope this helps
