I asked my grandson, Casey (video blogger "thecasey813) if he could advise you on syncing the three vocal lines up. he asked me what program you used. I didn't know.
He uses Sony Vegas Pro 10 to edit his videos. he says that's the best.
It has good audio editing to go with the visual.
Good luck, Russell,

Did some busking on tuba with a guitar player in Saint Peter's Square in New Orleans French Quarter. The local buskers were very kind and showed us a place we could set up and play. They did not have to give us permission and we were very grateful.                                         No 110 volt outlets were available. You played acoustic or not at all.
AccoustikNoyz, the guy in your video is lucky he found an electrical outlet for his looper and other gear out on the street. He sounds like a whole band - full and fine.

Pix, you say you bought 50/ Wow! Your wife must deeply love you to put up with that.
My wife would let me buy a second tuba if I can demonstrate to her satisfaction that I can play two at the same time. roll

No, sir. It's the one about younger women, living with several wives. I don't like the part where he runs them off and they still come back.
I further dislike his comparing them with profanity. it's disrespectful.

Jimmy Buffet is big around here. His satellite radio station "Radio Margaritaville" plays his tunes 24/7.
I left a verse that I do not like out of Buffet's "A Pirate looks at 40" song and had an irate bar patron call me out on it. I did not explain. I merely apologized. A rare event to be sure.

Thanks for the kind words, Cam.
I looked for a blowout by Auburn. Never have seen Oregon play before. They are scary good. The game could have easily gone their way.
I root for Alabama and after last season, it hurt to lose to Auburn this year by one point. My condolences to Ducks fans.

There are two approaches to practice. One is to practice to the point you stop making mistakes. The other is to practice to the point where you can't make any mistakes and if you pull that song up after three months not doing it, you can still play it with no mistakes.

Badeye, here it is Friday again. I keep thinking of a song that was out in the eighties that was a huge hit around this part of the world.
It was "Got You on my Mind" written by the great Delbert McClinton.
The arrangement that had me turning my radio up every time it came on sounded like Mick Jagger and Jimmy Hall singing in harmony 1/3 apart.
I found only a wonderful video on U-Tube with Eric Clapton and a big band  but no harmony lead vocals.
I broke out my harmonizer pedal to give you guys an idea of the early arrangement.

You can write music or lyrics first.
Starting off it may be easier to write out a chord progression and find words to fit. The number of beats in a line is set by the chord progression. The beats in the lyric line must line up and match the music. Tap your foot as you play the chords and again as you pronounce the words.
A Roget's Theosaurus book helps you find rhymes and words with similar meanings.

I really hate to disagree with a fine gentleman and fellow Chordian, BUT...
I firmly believe that Auburn will go through the Ducks like excrement through a goose.

I love this song Antsy McClain wrote when he was with the Trailer Park Troubadors. I bugged John Reno to record this song after noting the huge positive reaction audiences had to it when John sang it and I sang the third over harmony with him.
He still might get to it someday but right now he is recording primarily original songs he writes. (www.johnreno.com)
I wanted to show you guys this song but it is not available on U-Tube in the album version.
Using my new T.C. Helicon harmonizer pedal, I am able to show you how the harmony goes on my crude attempt at this fun song.
The song is in "G". I had my grandson, Casey film my hands so you guys can get the chords. I Googled and got the lyrics.

I was traveling with a disco band on the road. The band leader's wife, Lynn, was our girl singer - pretty, but with no common sense.
A lounge customer where we played told her he wanted to take the whole seven piece band out for pizza and beers after our gig.
As we walked out the door, Lynn announced loudly to all, "Guess what! I got this turkey to spring for us all pizza and beers." She failed to notice the gentleman in question walking right behind her.
To his credit he showed up and paid our tab but left alone and quickly.

I will be 70 in September. I had to quit playing tuba on stage due to my wind diminishing and other problems. I can still roar for an hour or so at jam sessions. Been playing so long I can fool people into thinking I still have lungs.
Singing and playing guitar while seated requires much less physical effort. I still play short three hour gigs as a guitar song guy. I will post a video this week to show what horsepower I have left. it's still fun for me. I will quit totally when I fail to remember lyrics.

There is a good reason for most guitars to be shaped like a woman's body. They don't have to be.
