It is just the three of us. Used to play in a 5 piece but no longer.
Re the electric, thx. It's an eBay special. 200 bucks, built in early 60s or 70s.

You should wait till winter, harness the dogs and mush them up to WA with the trailer in tow. Make those critters earn their keep!

It is totally appropriate. You'll find a friendly bunch here. Welcome to the forum!
I have played around with the uke. Fun instrument. You might also consider checking out the mandolin.
Are your videos on YT yet?

I'm hanging on to my 30's by a thread.
I really enjoy the people here, even if the participation is slower. We have 80% regulars, 20% lurkers and 0% trolls. What other forum on the web can say that?

Just getting caught up on this thread. I'm currently in Buck's hometown. Actually, his restaurant Crystal Palace was the location of my daughter's first concert when she was just a wee bit over 3 weeks old.
Great stuff!

Here we are in all our glory.
Soloing, apparently. Notice that I don't look like I'm pooping when I solo. I used to and actually had to practice making less faces when I play.

Re: Repeating Chord format (11 replies, posted in About Chordie)
That's a great innovation...so in every case the chord and all extensions would be in the regular script and superscript is reserved for beats...what about chords that change on an "and" or an "uh"?

Re: Repeating Chord format (11 replies, posted in About Chordie)
Roger, just out of curiosity if you use superscript to indicate beats, how do you notate chord extensions, e.g. C7, G major 7, etc?

Re: Jam Sunday (57 replies, posted in Bands and artists)
One of the things I love about jam bands is covers - they aren't afraid to do their own version of famous tunes to pay homage to their musical influences.
Here is Umphrey's McGee covering a song I'm sure you recognize: http://youtu.be/CZ_X55mM5eo

Lots of time your homeowners, renters or auto policy will cover it. Call them first.

Re: Repeating Chord format (11 replies, posted in About Chordie)
For me, it depends on how complex the chord changes are. If it's a song with standard form and timing (12 bar blues, rhythm changes, that sort of thing), I just write the chord and play that chord until I see another one.
If the song is trickier I will either use //// to indicate beats, dropping chords in between beats if necessary, or only when necessary I'll write it out on a staff.
