Back in 2008 I started a collaboration and we produced a song called "Wrapped in Happiness".

This morning, right out of the blue I received an e-mail from Rachael Hodgins (Radchael1975), one of the contributors, who has not been on Chordie for quite some time. Unfortunately I was getting ready for work and did not have much time to chat, but she is still playing guitar and teaching her 13 year old how to also.

I will have to find out more tonight. smile

Bill, no need for apologies, it is only a suggestion. I just thought that as the 'Blues' and the 'Rock' links are there they would be better together and the title change lets everyone know what it is about.

It can stay here as it is, if you prefer, it is your topic.

Your decision, Sir!!

Can I suggest that I change the title of this topic to "Monday Morning's Classics" and move it to 'Bands and Artists' where the other music suggestions are?

Congratulations looks like a great find. Be careful though, you will soon be having to buy a larger house to accommodate them all lol

Nice looking guitar, congratulations.

I do not understand the 'Spanish heel' bit though, something I have never heard before.

Roger

Bill what you have posted is probably copyright material and, if so, it will removed by the section Moderator.

However I think that the chords are shown in the wrong place and should be something like this:

Burning BridgesKelly's Heroes

[D]Friends all tried to warn me but I [Em]held my head up [G]high,

[A]All the time to warn me but I [D]only passed them [D]by,

Roger

It is OK to show a couple of lines as an example so this is allowed.

Unfortunately the video and audio are never really good from a phone, sad but it went down well with the audience smile.

I would love to hear that song more clearly, so have you another recording stored somewhere that I can listen to please.

Hi George,

I have just checked and you are correct, in fact there is one Judy Garland and one Eva Cassidy version the same. I have passed the info on to Per.

Thank you,

HI George,

I have had a reply from Per and he has never seen this before He is in the process of moving house so there may not be a speedy resolution, I'm afraid.

If you, or anyone else, sees this peculiarity on any other songs please add to this thread.

Very odd George,

I have no idea what has happened here, I checked on one or two other songs that were perfectly OK, so I have passed the link to Per, the site owner, and hopefully he will give us an answer soon.

Thank you for pointing it out,

Roger

Hi Rondena,

It is not that no one wants to help you but there are three problems with your request.

Firstly: The guitars in question are an obscure manufacture so the chances are that very few of us (if any) have every played one. I have never heard of this make before.

Secondly: No two guitars are the same, even identical models from the same manufacturer can play and sound different.

Thirdly: As Doug pointed out; how a guitar sounds and plays is a very personal thing and what one person likes another hates. I loathe Gibson guitars, they feel like a brick in my hands and they never sound sweet to me, but many people will swear that they are the best thing since sliced bread.

I can only suggest if you know someone who plays, and you like the sound of their instrument, take them to the store where you have seen them and let them handle them both. Even a righty can assess the action of a lefty guitar and get an idea of the tone for you.

For those of you with issues of ads covering pages please read Mekidsmom's new in-depth sticky at the top of the 'About Chordie' page.

It is a 'closed' topic so comments cannot be added there; click on 'Post New Topic' and start your own thread if you want further help. Please do NOT hijack someone else's thread; several different queries together only creates confusion.

I would just like to add a big 'Thank you Amy' for taking the time to investigate and write this out.
