Ha! Nice.

Thank heavens I'm not a GAS sufferer!

Liz - thanks for the thorough info and the tip! If it does what you described, it'll be well worth the buck-ninety-nine!

I use Chrome on this here iPad (and my missus uses Safari when she's on it), so it should be interesting to compare 'em all.

Again, grazie mille!

BUMP.

I think I will be able to host/post it if nobody else is willing to.

Lovely!

I was wondering what the melody was going to be like while reading it - I completely missed the part about you being on Soundcloud, else I'd've listened and commented sooner! Many thanks to mekidsmom for finding and posting it.

Also, add mine to all tne others' welcome to Chordie!

Ed, I've been meaning to ask you for some time, but kept forgetting - who is the source of this wonderful quote?

Holy cow, Russell - you snuck your post in while I wasn't lookin'!

Yes, I am running it thru my usb pot - I will look into the y-cord possibility shortly & get back & report - yeah, I already knew about the input indicator in Audacity - that was the other way I confirmed it was installed as a mono entity...

Doug -- thanks for your "stab," I'll give it a go and letcha know how it turns out...

Dino -- I was actually hoping Russell would see this and chime in... he may do so yet.

Doug -- you mention that "...it has been awhile since I've used Audacity" - is there another recorder that you'd recommend in its stead? I'm not particularly all that loyal to Audacity (I find it relatively easy for editing my podcast) - I'd be amenable to switching...

Well? How was the show? Was Marr on top of his game?

Liz -

Thanks for your quick and detailed reply (and nice ta meetcha!)! I will monkey around with some of that and see what happens...

Alas, I should have been more thorough in asking my question: I typically view Chordie on my iPad (and always use it for accessing my songbooks), so would need to have "touch-less" scrolling and "in-line" chord charts available for that device. Sorry for not being clear on that. Derp.

Hey, all -

I purchased an M-Audio M-Track Plus for recording, and am having a helluva problem with it: Audacity is not recognizing it as a stereo device, and is only giving me one-sided/mono input when recording.

Is anyone familiar with the M-Track or M-Track Plus? What am I doin' wrong? Should I remove and re-install the device?

Thanks for any help yunz can give!

Holy shiznik!  That's some nasty stuff.

Hope they recovered.

I don't think "they" did. At least, that's not the way I wrote it:

The doctor said it's getting worse and he can't stop it

I mean, I suppose I could have had the "subject" recover, but I didn't.

...it is some nasty shit, innit? That was th' idea.

That is a clever solution, Doug Smith!
patsoileau57: A different approach that you might want to consider is to use a tablet app designed for organising and displaying songs.

With one of these, you can quickly:
- vary the speed that the song scrolls
- change font size
- change foreground and background colours
- highlight colours for chords
- indent or highlight Chorus / Bridge lines
- choose whether chords are displayed in-line or above the line
- easily change the key to and fro as needed, etc.
- decide which voicings of chords are displayed in grids
etc.
Best wishes,
Liz

Speaking to these points, is there (I'm only talking about on Chordie)

Any way to "auto-scroll," without having to touch the screen?
Change font/background colours?
Choose whether chord diagrams are displayed at the bottom of the screen or above the line of the lyric (in place of the chord letter - C, Em, etc.)?

My condolences for your in-laws, Phill - sounds like they were wonderful people to be around.

I wish I could say the same for my in-laws - hell, they drive my lovely missus bonkers, and they're her parents!
The redeeming factor is that they live about as far away from us as they possibly can - they're in NY, we are in CA (opposite coasts, but that won't stop 'em as long as there're airplanes flying - ha!)... Phew!

Far out, brother! I really dig this song!

I shall not speak to others' comments...

I'd liketa apologise to Unh Huh for hijacking his thread. Here he is, legitimately trying to assemble a group, and I've gone and smart-assedly (izzat even a word?) posted up a buncha off-topic stuff.

So I'd just liketa say...

Mi bedaŭras, mia amiko.
Mi dispiace, il mio amico.
Je suis désolé, mon ami.
Sentitzen dut, nire laguna.
Ngiyaxolisa, umngane wami.
Es tut mir leid, mein Freund.
Λυπάμαι, φίλε μου. (Lypámai, fíle mou)
Жао ми је, пријатељу мој. (Žao mi je, prijatelju moj)

私は申し訳ありませんが、私の友人. (Watashi wa mōshiwakearimasenga, watashi no yūjin)
