Brian,

That was a really great song -well done ! I too enjoyed the whistling at the end - really added to the imprint of the room on my mind. Thanks for sharing.

Jim

ps - how is the kid's poem book coming along ?
I want a copy !!!

Tig
i have you to blame for my book, your comments re it needs to be published!
I think im having a ball putting it together, but it takes hundreds of hours and thousands of decisions.
I wrote each poem in a few minutes, that was by far the easy part.I found  Samantha an 18 yr old student
on a local website to do my illustrations.(also all the tech stuff)
Ive done a few test readings to see if the humour works,it seems to get lots of laughs. My first book was
very simple basic effort,im a bit embarrassed by it now.So putting extra effort into this one so i can be proud of it.
Im hoping to go to print in 4 weeks am also doing some marketing this time around,i have no expectations but thought
after all this work why not go all out!
my facebook pg  is Hazelrose Publishing
many many many thx for your interest
your mate Brian

So far Phill and Tig are neck in neck.i have given each a point as they were very close.
its not about cruising it it for a ferry service between north and south islands of NZ
it was commissioned by NZ railways as they have a rail on/off freight on the ferry
they do take passenger too.the stretch of water is Cooks Straight known to be one
of the roughest in the world. While there are plenty of lovely days as in the video
there are some pretty wild ones also.
you are going to give this one a good think its a little less obvious.who commissioned it?

in a previous post Sir Phill commented on modern day songs not being as good as yesteryear.
normally i would agree with this,BUT i have learned there are lots of recent songs writers that
are right up there.I have also learned that often what we dont like is not the song.It is the style
arrangement and production.I have included this vid of Post Modern Jukebox i could have
chosen Kiss or Radiohead or Myley Cyris or many others.
A kiss song done in ragtime  fleetwood Mac in cool jazz  etc
i look forward to your comments

youre not alone, plenty of weird things going on in NZ
sometimes i think i may have woken up on another planet
all the once usual norms seem to have gone down the drain.
having said that it certainly has supplied me with endless song ideas.
