Welcome back Zurf, glad you had good time and your burn injury did not prevent your playing.

Thanks Wayne, I understand long and short scale Guitars, i have a Martin 000  set up very low and it plays like a dream and, i did wonder if i would see much difference in a long scale. I don't understand wood finishes but i see that it would cause a drag.  Thanks to all that commented, that sound of the D 28 i played at the shop is still in my head. I don't think it is going away.     bob.

Thank you folks for your in-put, I always go to the Vids by Pete and Wayne, i love to hear those Martins and that Gibson of Wlbayes. Wayne could you explain further your comment about not the easiest to play?  Is the physical size very noticeable when playing?

Gerald there is a sticky at the top of this page showing just that. Walk ups and down instruction by Wlbaye, a fellow Chordian and excellent player.   b

I am thinking about a new Guitar such as an HD 28 or another D size Martin or Gibson. I do a lot of playing at home and at friends houses so I'm wondering if these typs of guitars have to much boom or volumn for that small venue stuff.  Anybody like to comment on this?

I despise everything about facebook, my Daughter has me on it so we can "keep up with Family"   right, face book changes every day it seems! also stupid games and such.

Sorry for your loss Zurf, God Bless.       b

Where i live I'ts a pretty good bet you would get hurt forcing entry to someones home or vehicle.

Thanks for the information, I really needed to change my skype name, and tried to do that, but, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. it seems that you can not change your name and, my trying to do that blocked me from skype last evening. It seems you can only re- register with a new profile and they don't advise that. We will see, sorry i missed the session last evening.  Mekidsmom, I will send you my new name when i get this fixed.     b
