I just picked up an older Fender Performer 650 - there seems to be some crackle on the overdrive channel, and a little less so on the clean.

does anyone have experience with this and cleaning tips?

Also the input jack is a little dodgy - if anyone knows the part number and how to swap it out that would be appreciated.

I second the Epi Dot notion - great value in an instrument - they are always available on ebay for auction.

Good Day all,

I recently purchased a Korean made Epiphone dot - and immediately swapped out the stock epi humbuckers for Gibson 490R and 498T (straight out of a Les Paul - and it sounds great!)
I'm wondering about other player's mods for the same guitar.

A big shout out to everyone - long time chordie user and finally decided to register.  I have been a big fan of the site for song searches and just realized the forums.  the place seems really friendly - and only a touch of the Fender vs Gibson rivalry.
