Happy Birthday to you both. Make some time to get in a strum or two.
I like the new color (or lack there of) so much better. That orangeish yellow wasn't working for me. Happy official NGD.
Happy NMD!!!! Crazy shapes on that one.
Sad to hear that the small store is closing down after being around so long.
Nice. I like the color variation in the grain. Hope she plays as pretty as she looks.
Cool video, funny how such little things can go missed.
I've never bought a set of pins but I would dare to say that the difference between 3 and 5 degrees on a pin that is only 1/4" in diameter and 1" long is going to be very hard to distinguish. I understand that you need to get the right ones as they are not interchangeable. The link Beamer shared didn't say what degree those are.
Happy Birthday Nela!!!!!!!
What were the numbers for?
Glad to hear everything is on the plus side!!!
With pics posted, now I believe it happened. Happy NGD!!!!!!! I love the builder tag on the inside.
I had thought about it about a month ago. Had to read the last post to figure out where it was. I figured Whitewater is going thru some troubling times right now so the package is way down on his list.
Boomer needs some love. He gets rusty when he's not handled regularly.

This is a very good refinishing site with lots of info.
If you're looking to do something pro like in Beamer's pic then you need to find out what finish it has on it now. Most finishes don't play nice together. Nothing sticks to (poly)urethane unless it's sanded to give it bite. Nitro is only compatible with itself. Do your homework and remember that good prep = good finish.
Beautiful treasures! It is wonderful that you have them and can enjoy the memories and craftsmanship in them.
Indeed! 1920 and 1896 very cool antiques.
I considered the AEL line awhile back. My first guitar was an Ibanez and it was just hard to play even after being set up correctly.
Happy NGD!!!!
Since you're paying for lessons it becomes a "have to" thing. Whatever gets you in gear and back to making some noise is all good.
Amazing! So is that a hot tub where the sound hole is?
I think it's just a trap for the drunkards.
Not to be nitpicky, but it's a dock.
I haven't been playing much - been very, very busy.
I'm rowing the other side of that boat with you.
Give it a try tomorrow, then the next day, then the next day,........
very cool!!
+1
Wonder what it looks like from the air.
That's awesome!!!!! 4 hours every Friday seems like a lot of playing. Hopefully you know a thousand songs or so to fill that time.
Good luck!!

I guess it's actually stop motion animation. Really cool to watch.
Happy Birthday Topdown!!! Have a few cold ones for us.
It's just the name. I'm sure in the hands of a skilled player, a cheaper instrument can be made to sing as well as any other.
Bummer. That would have been a great day of ogling.

Interesting article. Makes me want to do a comparison myself.
