I suppose he did the only thing he could do, kept on singing. I'm surprised the bird continue to sit there as he petted it. Great video, thanks for sharing it with us.

My first guitar was a Yamaha, I forget what series, it was so long ago, I was a teenager. The funny thing about it was that I had saved up lots of change, $350.00 or so in fact. Lots of my friends played and I decided I had to have a guitar as well. I called the local music shop and told them I wanted a guitar but all I had was change. They told me sure, bring it in and they would help me count it out, so I did. I paid almost the entire $350.00 for the one I picked out. It is the guitar that I learned chords on which helped me later in life when I got serious about playing. I no longer have that particular guitar, but I just thought I'd share that story.

Nothing like an old new guitar, enjoy.

There is no way I could pick only one, I could narrow it down to a handful, but to pick just one would be impossible for me, my tastes in music are to varied.

Did you ever, even for a moment, possibly, consider that some of us might have liked to go with you? Well did you? As you can tell I'm jealous, I sure wish I was there with you. Have a great time, sounds like my kinda vacation.

DeadString, I saw wordpress was mentioned, I have a wordpress site and it works great. They have some that you can pay for but most are free. There are no ads at all. I use mine to write sports blogs over on twitter. I'm not sure if I should put the site name I have here, don't know if that's allowable by the moderators here. They have 163 different sites to chose from and I'm guessing 95% of them are free. I had a site I paid for through a different host but it ran out and I had friends there were using Wordpress so I started using it, I love it. I figured out how to use it, so if I can do it anybody can.

PS. For the record I have no affiliation with Wordpress, not an endorsement, hope this helps you.

Great idea, when I started reading this post I thought you mean't a hoodie, as in a hoodie you wear. Simple ideas are sometimes the best.

It was the most embarrassing thing I've seen in sometime, I could not believe they beat Clemson that bad. The entire ACC was embarrassed by that showing, ugly, just ugly. But worse than that my Duke Blue Devils lost last night to the Temple Owls, a bad night for the ACC.

I once saw an interview with John Prine, people would tell him that he was playing songs wrong, so that's when he decided to write his own songs, that way no one could tell him it was wrong. The rest is history. So by that standard Topdown is right.

My least favorite would have to be 'Grandma got run over by a reindeer', I tend to like more traditional christmas songs, but even they can wear thin by the time christmas rolls around.

So, the big question! Who got a new guitar for Christmas, or something music related that you just had to have. Please share it with us so that we can all be jealously happy for you.

Sorry to hear about this Pix, it's unbelievable what can happen in the blink of an eye, you just never know. I pray that the family can get through this and that you and your wife can as well. It's a good thing you were there to help or it could have been worse. You, your wife, and the family are in our prayers.

I wasn't inspired by anyone famous in the beginning, but by some local musician's who would gather at a little hole in the wall store near my home when I was a child. I'll never forget the impression it burned into my mind as it was the first time I had ever heard live music played. It was blue grass played around an old pot-bellied stove inside the store on a cold night. I was hooked from that moment on.

Merry Christmas everyone, here's hoping you've all been nice, not so much naughty, ok...a little naughty, but not so naughty that Santa doesn't forget that we all need new guitars!

Born in 1943 Dec 18th  Keith Richards birthday is today. Seems he's been around forever. The first time I saw the Stones I believe was on the old Ed Sullivan show back in the early 60's. Happy Birthday Keith.
