Make sure you are saving it to the newly created songbook

Just to help them put it in perspective zurf tell them this....if you get a dent in your car...even though the car still drives and runs just like always...you are able to get an estimate and get it fixed...and that is all you are asking them to do is say that this part of the property has been damaged and needs to be repaired.

oh the times are a changin....lol

do a google search for guitarfx and you should find some software to make your computer work like an amp...i tried 1 a long time ago and had a delay when i played...turning off some processes helped that...

I use adobe audition and i can use vst effects in real time while recording...not sure about audacity...
using  something like a pod like geo does for recording would probably get you alot better sound though...as the vst effects dont seem to have the same punch...IMO

here is an amp simulator vst...havent tried it myself

ill take 1 off your hand...

I don't see anything wrong with moving on to a different song before you learn another song completely... I struggled with a song that had a lot of barre chords in it... After playing other songs that had a few barre chords I eventually came back to the song and was able to play it much better than I had before... So just to whatever keeps it fun for ya..

I like it...

I don't know much about the ipod...but if it has a setting on it to enable mass storage...then enable that...and it should show up as another drive on your computer and you can drag and drop your files into it...make sure you put it in the correct folder on your ipod....I done that with my blackberry because it was easier and quicker than using the software that came with it....

Twisted Sister comes to my mind too...:) It was my first concert... Dokken and Y&T opened for them...They said I really enjoyed it...lol

I have to admit I'm a festival fan too... Bonnaroooooo!
There's nothing like hearing a bunch of different bands and styles of music all at one place..

Thanks for sharing that process with us... That was pretty cool getting to see it... Glad it turned out as a positive result smile

Looks good appearance wise....hope it turns out like you hoped...if I can get fatstrings to let me borrow his guitar I may just give it a try smile

Are we going to be considered partly to blame if we say "do it" and you end up with a guitar shaped doorstop if things go awry? smile

been a while since i used audacity...but i think if you mute the bass...and just export(convert to mp3) the vocal/guitar.....then unmute the bass and mute the guitar/vocal and export that track...you will have your 2 seperate tracks....
PS:would be worth the effort to get the vocal and guitar on their own seperate tracks but if its not possible then you just have to use what you have..

doesnt seem stupid at all...i just know enough to be dangerous myself...lol...good luck...
