Mainly country rock, 50's, 60's 70's, 80's, pop, heavy metal with the odd punk piece thrown in for good measure. Problem is that it is usually just me that knows which song I am playing. Still it makes me happy.

Does anyone have the chords for Darlin' ?
Much obliged

I have to start with a proviso. I have no personal knowledge that these songs are in fact banned.
However if they are then it is ridiculous.
To ban songs about surfing (Safari's - Wipe Out), Protest songs (Edwin Starr - War), Bond theme tunes (Wings - Live and let die) etc is just the start of a slippery slope.
Whats next Neil Diamonds song - America
They're coming to America, today
Today, Today, Today, Today.
My country 'tis of thee (today)
Sweet land of liberty (today)
Of thee I sing (today)
Of thee I sing today
Today, Today, Today
If this is true and you live in NY please stand up and stop the idiocy.
My 2 cents.

What is the best band you discovered by accident?
You know the one that you would normally never listen to. Maybe your kids were playing something, maybe your parents were playing some of their old LP's or maybe you haeard one of their songs and thought "What is that?"
I will start with two I have recently discovered.
Jamiroquai - Excellent band had heard of them but never listened to them. great music Great lyrics.
The Flying Burrito Brothers - found a cd in a second hand store for £3
So who have you discovered by accident?

Hi Mick,
Probably a silly question but how far away from Dublin is Swords?
I am in central Dublin for a short time and don't know the area.
Is it on the Luas / Dart?
if not too far I would be happy to have a jam.

Thank you James. That is fantastic.
I will learn this over the weekend and play it for my friend on her birthday.

I have had a request to learn this song but I cannot find the chords or tabs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Does anyone have the tabs / chords for this song.
Your help is very much appreciated.

Hi All,
I hope you can help.
What is the best way, using the chordPro format if possible, to describe a strumming pattern?
For example - I have a song that uses a straight four beats per chord pattern. How can I add that to the song so that it displays at the top of the song?
Also, just to be awkward, same song Beats 1 & 3 play only the E & A strings Beats 2 & 4 play only the D,G,B & E?
Thanks for your help

Hi,
I'm from Blantyre, Scotland but working in Dublin Ireland for a while.

Hi folks,
I thought I would ask what may be a silly question.
I have the words to a song, I have the melody in my head and a basic strumming / picking pattern. What I don't have are the chords.
How do you find the chords?
I can write the words, imagine the song, but I can't get the chords yet.
The first verse of the song goes
"Bobby's born in steeltown,
He lived, he worked , he died,
Left it once to see the world,
with his deep blue eyes."
my thought's on strumming / picking were
d d d u d u dud
Bobby's born in steeltown,
d d u d u d udu
He lived, he worked , he died,
d d d u d u dud
Left it once to see the world,
d d u d u d udu
with his deep blue eyes."
I hear the song in my head as a sort of 80's style power ballad
If anyone has any thought's I will appreciate them.
best regards
David Grant
Blantyre, just outside Glasgow. Playing for a year and thorughly enjoying it. Only started at 45.
Hi Craig,
I would be interested. Unfortunately things have changed since I posted. I am now heading to Dublin for a few months (work related).
So I will not be around. However I will let you know when I am back and maybe we can get together then.

David Grant
