In saying this it sounds like you've listened to every Christian song.
You know I'm not one to defend secular music, but in saying this the music in Christian contemporary and Secular contemporary are very much alike, you'll meet lots of people that will fight you there since there are more people that listen to secular than Christian.
And alot of other styles don't have blues as a foundation. Rap, Classical.
I know you have a closed mind on the subject, because the only thing you like is Country and Oldies Rock. You're entitled to you opinion, but I don't agree with you.

</td></tr></table>
yes but rap is crap and blues is based on classical so your statement is void
i also listen to some newer stuff
old pop
reggea
softer metal
blues
jazz
2-step
and you say i have a closed mind:
you listen to all Christian
hmm that equals:
no blues
no classical
no classic rock
no jam bands
im pretty sure theres no Christian reggea
theres Christian metal but you dont listen to that or jazz or 2- step
i beleive my friend that you are the one with a closed mind

Octavarium by dream theater (24 MINUTES LONG!!!)
6 degrees of inner turbulance (CD2) by dream theater
with that one, learn to play the whole second CD as a whole, not in its individual sections cos each song carries on perfectly after the previous and it lasts over 42 minutes of total prog
hope thats good enogh for ya
</td></tr></table>
ill take it that from your name and all you say about dream theater that your a bit of a fanatic
ok normally i would go on and on about how screamo or anything with emo in it is horrible but i wont
for screamo play power chords

Other than black gospel and some cracker spirtuals (like in O Brother Where Art Thou), "Contemporary Christian Music" can best be used to put you to sleep. Surely, if God were real, he would inspire better music.
</td></tr></table>
im a christian but i have to agree with this statement
contemporary Christian sucks bad
theres no real Christian blues
-since blues is the foundation for most modern music
-there can therefore be no good modern Christian music
--that was very scientific if i do say so myself
alvarezes are nice

hey!!!
a really easy song to learn is crazy train by ozzy osbourne. the guitar tabs are relatively easy. hope its any help.
</td></tr></table>
i bet you think eruptions a peice of pie too
always play with a metranome
umm if you broke yours throwing it off the roof i doubt anyones gonna lend you anything
actually almost all tab sites are just search engines and some host files from others computers
you mean a strap and a strap button
if you dont have a strap button on both sides of the body you just tie a string to your headstock behind the nut and connect it to your strap
you can get a stap button installed into the heal of your neck joint that wont change any sound quality
hey vamp just read that your girlfriend got married
and im pretty darn sure it wont to you
ok heres what we need to know
we need to know what bands you like and what sound your trying to mimmic
we need to know if you have an amp
we need to know a price range for guitar+ amp if you dont have one
you should spend more on the amp than the guitar by the way
heres a run down
guitar
volume knobs: controll the output from the pickup
tone knobs: change the amount of mid range given out
amp
need to know what kind
ok another thing i thought of
when just screwing around dont always use the same strumming/picking pattern.
hey
glad to hear your coming along well
um.....
id start by saying always play at an angle, keep your fingers angled toward the bridge. trust me that makes a world of difference.
for anymore tips we need to know more about you. are you interested in playing lead.
my favorite songs for the guitar would be
Life in the Fastlan, Hotel California
Layla, BellBottem Blues
Whipping Post, RamblingMan
Anyway you want IT, Seperate Ways
Crazy Train
any Jimi Hendrix
of course theres the regular hard songs, Master of Puppets and Eruption
but look into maybe Layla(dont cheat like clapton and play the slide yourself)
Hotel California
Johnny B. Goode
try some fingerpicking like JamesTaylor: Carolina in My Mind, Fire and Rain, and Youve got a Friend
