Hey Southy,
I must have missed that world on the drive to North Lauderdale!! HA HA.

I think Dr. Evil is so twisted that he will most likely lazzerrrr me anyway, I will try to sing 3 songs so deep, so moving, that NO man will be able to resist not only letting me go and crowning me King Papa, BUT he will also make me 7.3 fuchsia socks for my cold feet!!

1) The Chicken Dance
2) Row Row Row your boat
3) Blame it on the Rain (Milli Vanilli)

.....Thank you for letting me go Mr. Evil. Sure I will take my Royal Scepter. Oh my feet? They are toasty warm. Thank You!

Hey everybody. Thanks for the support. The encouragement is always welcome.

Kappa Kappa Fi - I actually have a ZOOM digital 8 track. I bought it used and have been very satisfied with the results. It records clean and is easy to use. I want to get the 16 track model. You can record simultaneously. I cannot with the 8 track. I actually just fried the unit and have to send it in for repair. Unfortunately I do nor have the ends right now. So I am on pause. 8-(

Thanks Bud! I just accepted your proposal to become friends. (That sounds very businessy)
Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff as well!
Does anybody else from Chordie have an account at Ourstage that you know of??

A good friend of mine grew up in Dublin. He says in his best Irish lilt.
I would love to visit the home land one day. I looks absolutely stunning!!!!

We do things a little bass ackwards in Florida also. There is never a time when there is no construction on the highway. But the intense heat and saturating water content in the air far makes up for the rude people and dense population/horrible housing market........I really am not bitter.
It is beautiful 2 days a year!! (not in concession)

A friend of mine had a Guild that he bought for $150.00. A repair from is brother and it is good as new. He offered it to me for what he paid for it! $150.00. I said YES!!!! Could I afford it. NO!!!
He knew exactly what it was worth. It ate away at his soul that no one was playing it. It's only purpose in life and it's withering away. So he sold it to me. And I have it sitting in a stand and play it every day. The point is If I didn't take it for the $150.00 it would rob him from his blessing that he would get for selling it to me for a GREAT price. And I don't want to do that. 8-)

We can send men to the moon, google earth,  put holes in doughnuts. Yet! our planners are a bunch of Gombeens getting paid
with our taxes. They should be put in stocks tomorrow in O'Connell street for not only allowing this to happen, but allowing the beautiful village of Celbridge to be flooded with sewerage right down the main street and into the stores.

Heaven preserve us.

Hey lady tell us how you really feel!!!!

You are in Dublin??

Was the out of ink in reference to the length of the poem? If so, I guess I had nothing else to say about it.

Hey Phil, honestly it brought a tear to my eye. Excellent!
I have a deep respect for the greatest generation!! And rightfully named. There is a quote I love from a woman on T.V who was commenting on the unselfishness of that generation and their frame of mind at the time. She was asked about how did they survie such stress etc. she said, ....."we were to busy being brave..."
I leave it in your capable hands to decide if it needs music or not. Personally I say if it ain't broke.....
Again Excellent phrasing all around I loved it!!
Go Granny!!!!!

Self Focus

Tripping over myself

If the battle is for the mind I never had a chance

I've been running non-stop in vein

My crying out gets snuffed out before words even form

Disasters left and right my thoughts are on me

I feel like a traitor who wants to be a traitor

I carry my heart on sheets of white, Stained from the blood of deep cuts

My soul drips through pen tips, Sliding over paper as a picture of my wounds

Inflicted, Struck hard

Im hit, Im down, Im out

Overdrive is the Beautiful sound when a tube amp is played loudly and is pushed beyond the limit of the speaker and creates the sound we have all come to love. Thus the term "Over-driven." (Pearl Jam, Black Crowes, Stevie Ray Vaughn) Distortion is a lot more metallic and is not derived from a "natural" occurrence of an amp being played loudly and creating the overdrive sound. It can be distorted at low volumes without having stressed an amp etc. (Metallica, Slayer, groups of the like)
I don't know for sure that the last 3 groups mentioned don't use tube amps or do I was just referring to the sound of the distortion.
Hope that helps a little.

I seem to have a problem with musicians who stay high/drunk. I respect the song or vocal whatever their role is in the band but I always have to ask are the drugs/alcohol inhibiting or helping the creativity? I always seem to lean towards the school of thought that says "anyone can get blazed and tap into that off kilter drug place to get 'inspiration!!'"
I know not everybody agrees with that. I have friends that disagree COMPLETELY. But having never been a druggy or a drinker, I guess I respect people who do not have to alter their mind to be "creative" more than one who seems to need that extra "push."
But that's just me. 8-)

I caught the show also on re run. Amazing show! I enjoyed all the performers. I really enjoyed The Foo. Maybe it's the old punk in me but I really like them. I don't own any albums of theirs but I like them.
How about Pete still jumping around!!! They still got it! Love the Who!! It was nice to see Slash and others paying tribute.

3 cheers to all who do not bow to the god of "disinfection!" I never wash my hands to play my guitar. I realize that that is just how I roll. I just don't see the point. One of my best friends is polar opposite and wipes down COMPLETELY after I play his guitar. 8-)
Sometimes I clean, when i change strings but only when the grime is overwhelming. It's all tone!!
Or something like that...

Ooh, Chris Martin - Coldplay...he's another one!

P.S I actually like Jay-Z and Kanye West.....think they're two of the more talented members of the RAP fraternity and bring a slightly different slant to rap music. Again, maybe just my opinion, but that's what's fun about music.....

Bud,
For me and Kanye it's not the music (although I'm not a fan), it's the "listen to my views on politics" crap. I'm not sure what makes Kanye think what he feels or thinks is somehow pertinent to anyone else. Keep rapping and spending your easily come by dough.

Don't know much about Chris Martin but I'm sure I could grow to dislike him! I'm getting old and cranky!!

I don't agree with him politically but the fact that he is an idiot politically does not constitute a reason for him to not speak his mind. I Love America!! I agree that alot of these rappers talk very loudly. Unfortunately, they are so self consumed that when they say something that makes sense clear thinking people don't want to hear what they have to say. The lesson????? It's a CLASSIC!!!
"The world doesn't revolve around YOU!!!!!!!" 8-) Thanks dad!
