There are tons. Throwing a sus in is a nice way to embellish a chord. I'm not sure if you want the list limited to unresolved sus4s, or if sus2s are also in the running, but here are some off the top of my head.
More Than A Feeling
Last Dance with Mary Jane (sus2)
Can't You See
I Will Survive
Gonna Fly Now (Rocky Theme Song)
Sailing (Christopher Cross)
Faithfully (Journey)
Like A Rolling Stone

As to the suspended barre chords part of the question - you can play any of these as a barre. I guess maybe I don't understand the question?
Finally the open G question...are you asking if instead of playing a sus4 you can just play an open chord?

Sorry if I'm annoying just trying to understand what you're looking for. smile

What do you mean by suspended? Are you saying a sus 4?

I shall tune that in during work tomorrow!

I've heard they have a good football program but how's the  marching band?

I own one.  Thought I'd pick it up. Haven't since.  Love the instrument though.

Moving to aledo, just east of your old place.

The fam is leaving lovely Las Vegas in the next couple of months to start a new life in the Fort Worth area. Same job, new location.

Wondering if any fellow Chordie folk are located in the DFW area?

I just emailed you tabs. There are some color tones going on in the guitar line that are probably throwing you off.

I open them up by using needle nosed pliers backward. I put the pliers in and streeeeeeeetch.

- Short scale (like a Gibson) for ease of travel.
- Onboard tuner and pickup (less crap to carry around)
- Solid top, laminate sides (keeps the price down)
- Natural matte wood finish, not painted or high gloss (wood and being outside kinda go together)
- Carry-on conforming case for travel, with padded sleeve for tablet or small computer.
- Single Cutaway (playability)
- Locking pegs (will help with keeping tune across multiple climates, etc.)

Recorded that a few years ago. RIP Prince. What a loss.

That last point hit the nail on the head for me. I have listened to them for years, but never passionately...Sure, they are great technicians, but you really miss out on the best part of Rush until you go see them and realize they are just having fun and joking around with a lot of their music.

I've seen them twice and really enjoy them now, but it took a concert to flip that switch for me.

I just format all my music so it fits on a page.  Lots of shorthand.

This weekend is it for me! Boys trip, three days and two nights of canoeing, camping and line wetting.

We are putting in on the Colorado River just a tad bit underneath the Hoover Dam and floating 8 miles down river. It can be done in a day, so we are going to find the best camp spot we can, lay down camp and commence with the fishing!

Sunday AM we pack up and head back to reality.

One of my favorite parts of camping is cooking outside. I don't particularly care if I catch anything so long as I can spend time with friends and cook over a fire. A nice cat or striper would be fantastic but definitely not required for the weekend to be a success.

Thanks to Zurf for your advice as we planned this!

Wish us luck! Here are some pics of the striper in this particular stretch of river. Monsters.

Pro tip: If you drink scotch whilst playing your 6er, your vision may double. This will give you the feeling of playing a 12 stringer, including the enormous headache when you try to tune the sucker.

A day late and a dollar short, ladies and gents. I apologize. I was sidelined with a stomach bug this weekend.

Although neither of these artists are considered "jam" themselves, they all have strong jam roots. Zac Brown's concerts are full of jams, and Robert Randolph is well...you'll see!

I have a number of noteworthy stories. Not haha funny..but here goes one, by way of example:

I was once paid $800 for 5 minutes of work, not counting load in. We were playing at a favorite Irish pub and had just loaded in our gear and started our first song. A cook runs out of the kitchen disgusted. Before we start song number two, the manager walks up and asks me to step off mic for a second.

I step to the side, and he explains that someone had an "issue" in the restroom, clogged a toilet, backed up the whole system, a pump failed and the restrooms were - much to our disgust - backing up into the kitchen. We had an airtight contract with the place, so we made our full night's pay, but the bar closed down at 8.15. It opened up a couple of days later and we played a make up gig, and were booked monthly at the place for another year or so.

We liked to drop funk bombs when we played, but generally not that type....

Found this with a quick search.  You might be able to find others.
