Thought I'd bump this post to see if there was any more or confirmed interest. I saw a message from Wayne that sounded pretty positive, so if a fella is gonna travel all the way from South Dakota, I've got to say the party is on!

Jets sounds likely
Amy, Zurf (with his recent vehicle repairs) and Scott sound like they want to, but it might be a struggle.

Anybody else? - last year was a BLAST!

It's early enough that if we have a few commitments, i could possibly rent a condo in my complex that would sleep a fairly large group (at least 6 or 8). The cost would be minimal if divided by that many folks. Just a thought.

I had a pretty nice Man Cave at our place in NC. Now that I'm in Florida and once again single, my entire place (small that it is) is a Man Cave.

Sounds like a good way to spend ANY night! Cheers 1#7

I recommend you email Per at adminATchordie.com with a screenshot of your error message along with your OS and browser info

Little change in his condition and he has the docs at Duke baffled. They are no longer calling it meningitis, but they have no idea what it is. 2 weeks in Duke ICU now and they are consulting with docs around the word for "strange cases". Thanks for asking!

Hate to hear that JX3 - positive vibes and all that jazz...

I can't help with the error message, but you can just start a new songbook - you can have as many songbooks as you like.

Welcome back Rick. Sorry to hear about your Mom, but it sounds like her heart and mind were in good shape. "Life is short so keep on playing" - that needs to be your sig line!

October already - it occurs to me that February is only 4 months away - maybe time to start planning for CHODRIESTOCK II. We had a blast last year with chordians from as far away as England and South Dakota. Lets make it better this year than it was last year.

Sat., Feb. 22 is almost exactly a year from last year, but March would work for me as well. Just want to throw this out there to judge the interest level and see if a particular weekend in Feb or march works best for others.

So who is in??!!

Here's a link for last years thread - I believe there are photos and vids in there

Thanks again everyone, they've been at Duke for a few days now, initially the Duke docs were thinking Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus - now after some tests that even seems unsure. The next step seems to be possibly installing a shunt to do a lumbar drain. Seems even the Duke docs are stumped - my sister is hanging in there, we've been through a lot of serious illness in our family and that experience must be allowing her to hold on to some sense on sanity.

My uncle just sent me this joke and it seems to fit this thread.

He was a widower and she a widow. They had known each other for a number of years being high school classmates and having attended class reunions in the past without fail.

This 60th anniversary of their class, the widower and the widow made a foursome with two other singles. They had a wonderful evening, their spirits high. The widower throwing admiring glances across the table. The widow smiling coyly back at him.

Finally, he picked up courage to ask her, "Will you marry me?"

After about six seconds of careful consideration, she answered, "Yes,..... yes I will!"

The evening ended on a happy note for the widower. But the next morning he was troubled. Did she say Yes? or did she say No?

He couldn't remember. Try as he would, he just could not recall. He went over the conversation of the previous evening, but his mind was blank. He remembered asking the question but for the life of him he could not recall her response. With fear and trepidation, he picked up the phone and called her.

First, he explained that he couldn't remember as well as he used to. Then he reviewed the past evening.

As he gained a little more courage he then inquired of her. "When I asked if you would marry me, did you say Yes? or did you say No?"

"Why you silly man, I said Yes. Yes I will! And I meant it with all my heart."

The widower was delighted. He felt his heart skip a beat.

Then she continued: "And I am so glad you called because I couldn't remember who asked me!"

Cowboys won and the rest of the NFC East lost - not a bad day for me. My new home team (the Bucs) are 1 step closer to making a coach and / or QB change and that's not all bad either.

Welcome to chordie kaylu. A few pieces of advice.

- Lyrics should not be posted to the forum. I encourage you to remove them immediately. Please read this sticky note from the song request forum. http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=120

- Your post would fit more appropriately in the Song Request forum.

- It would be helpful to post a link to a video of the song so that others may assist in transposing the chords.

Cure? You sound perfectly normal to me...

Happy NGD - I've always wanted to try a Maton - how does it compare to the Martin?

And like Amy said - PICS PLEASE

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers and especially TF for your info. It is good to know that even after 4-6 weeks, your son fully recovered with no effects.

They still don't know what the root cause is in Gary's case. 90 % of these cases are caused by infection, but they cannot find any bacterial, fungal, or viral reason.  All tests have been negative. He has responded well to steroid treatments - but that is only treating the symptoms, not the cause. My sister is getting ready to transfer him to Duke - Some of the best medical care in the world is available a few miles away - she might as well take advantage of it. My Mom and son both were treated for cancer at Duke and the care is world class.

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked it.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her boyfriend asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was... 'Get the quarter back! Get the quarter back!'

I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!"

Thank you preacher priors, I truly appreciate the power and message you share. Welcome to chordie.

Thanks dino and z for you positive thoughts as well. I am not a very religious guy, but I do believe positive thoughts have the power to heal!

My Brother in Law, Gary has been in the hospital since Friday with meningitis. Cause / type is still unknown, prognosis is anywhere from full recovery to death. Scary stuff and my sister is (understandingly) kinda freaking out. He's a pretty young guy, mid 40's with a teenage kid. Without knowing the cause, the docs are apparently just bombarding him with all known treatments. He seems to have good and bad times / one minute being fairly cohesive, the next he doesn't even realize who my sister is.

I'd appreciate any info about meningitis from any chordians who have had any experience with it. And of course, healing thoughts to Gary in Raleigh would be also be welcomed.
