Hi Phill
I really like the gentle feel to this number. Recording etc top notch as usual.
It's strange my mother played the piano and guess that where my musical bent came from. My brother and sister are not at all musical and my two kids have not shown any interest nor my grandkids..... I despair!! lol

Hi jody
Just a little mistake in the chopro there in the 1st bracketed word song you've got a capital "S" it should be a low case "s" small but just enough to throw the Chopro off  smile
just edit the post and it should work ok.
How's the recording coming along...

Just beautiful Ark!  You know, I use some "zen meditation" music in my salon when I am giving facials and body wraps (very relaxing, close your eyes services) ... and I haven't come across anything yet that I truly love... now THIS is perfect.  How many like this do you have... relaxing and restful music?

Hi mekidsmom
Thanks for the comments glad you like the music.
Well I've done a few ambient chillout numbers. Some are on the Ourstage website http://www.ourstage.com/profile/arkady
"Tree of a thousands stars" and "Spainsh Sunset" are quite laidback.
See what you think.
If you like any just email me and I will send you an MP3 smile

Hi Jody Wayne
Glad you got Chopro sorted out.
Hope you are able to sort out your recording. I'm not much of a performer myself so I find recording to myspace and other such sites less daunting than performing in front of a camera.
But that's just me.:)

Hi Jody Wayne
Thanks for posting some great songs. The songwriting section has seen a decline in the number of posts over the months. (What has been posted has been first class though) and it's good to see someone new stepping up to the plate with some excellent stuff.
Any chance of using Chopro format for your song posts. It presents the songs better giving the chord shapes and option to printout. Just a thought.

Hi Phill

Hi Brent
Welcome to Chordie.
I think this is just a variation of the C chord and is still called C
On Chordies Resources tab at the top of the page you will find the large chord chart and under C you will find the variation.
I'm sure our more talented theroists will give you a more detailed answer to your question.

I think Mark Knopfler is one of the best guitarist around. He's able to adapt his style to compliement any artist guitarist or otherwise.
With Dire Straits he has a style all of his own his sound is instantly recognisable.
I had to smile about his comment about his own singing in an interview a while back. Asked how he rated his singing he smiled and said " I just lurch from one crisis to another" .... I know what he means smile
Thanks for the vids Doll and bensonp..

Hi all
I believe the use of smilies accompaning a statement in a post can in some way put over the tone of a comment.
I know some members don't or won't to use them but that's what I believe they are for on a forum and not just a childish emblishment to post. I used them a lot and I don't think my tone has been taken the wrong way..  smile

The link to the smilies are below the message box and can be copied and pasted into a post or can be just copied  smile

Hi Jake 47
Welcome to chordie.
I would create new songbooks called simply "Set list 1..2" etc and put in the songs that you want to use from the Chordie index.
The edit function is not working at the moment but work arounds have been discussed by members here's one thread. http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=12795

Hi jimbobs1
Welcome to Chordie.
Not really sure what you are seeing on your screen as far a I know chordie has not got a tuner on the site.
But songs can be transposed to another key or be changed to another string instrument.
